Education: High school graduate or equivalent. Graduate of a Diagnostic Imaging accredited program or equivalent. 2 years OR experience. Lead experience preferred.
Experience / Qualifications
Certificate or Registry of Diagnostic Imaging accredited program
Florida State Licensure; Certified Radiologic Technologist
BLS Certification by the American Heart Association
ARRT certification, Florida Radiological Technologist licensure. Excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing.
Position Summary
The OR lead will be in charge of coordinating with OR staff and monitoring scheduled cases requiring imaging. The OR lead will be required to carry a department phone or vocera. The OR lead will be responsible for informing department supervisor and or charge technologist how many technologists they will need to accommodate the OR. The OR lead will assign technologists to cases & perform cases themselves. The OR lead will be responsible for facilitation the movement of equipment to proper location for future and current cases. OR lead must communicate with supervisor regarding all equipment service calls or equipment failures. If no OR requiring imaging is scheduled or all image required cases are finished for the day, the OR lead will integrate back into department workflow to help in the department. OR lead will proactively look at the future schedule and attend OR huddle (if possible) everday.Technologist must still be proficient in general radiology exams and x-rays. Performs other duties assigned.

Physical Requirements
Must be able to sit, stand, walk for long periods of time, be flexible enough to twist, bend, lift, assist, transport patients via wheelchair & stretcher. Be able to lift a minimum of 40 lbs., perform CPR and patient assessment.
Threshold Requirements
These thresholds requirements are required and completed yearly basis, Annual Joint Commission mandatory education requirements, in-service and health requirements including attendance at new employee orientation, TB/PPD, Surveillance Program. Maintenance of required professional licensing and/or certification(s).
