Job Description

As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Deescalation Support in Seattle, WA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a public transportation location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and assist visitors, employees, and passengers with professionalism. You will communicate clearly, report observations, and respond to security-related concerns while delivering exceptional customer service. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to transit passengers, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of transit facilities, platforms, stations, parking areas, and surrounding perimeters to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and maintenance concerns.
• Respond to incidents, passenger concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; contact appropriate emergency services and/or transit personnel as directed by site procedures.
• Monitor access points, public areas, and transit operations for compliance with site rules and report suspicious behavior, unauthorized access, and policy violations.
• Complete detailed activity reports, incident documentation, and shift logs, and communicate relevant information to supervisors and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least two years of security-related experience.
• Handcuffing certification is preferred.
• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Baton certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
