Description
Ergon is seeking a Supply Chain Intern for an on-site internship at the Mirror Lake Campus during Summer 2027. The internship provides cross-discipline interactions in Customer Support, Supply & Distribution, Analytics, and other business functions that support Ergon's supply chain.
The intern will gain exposure to people, processes, and problem-solving across the company while completing impactful projects tied to current business needs. Mentors will be assigned to ensure continued alignment with the project and to answer questions as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Support data gathering, validation, analysis, and reporting for assigned supply-chain projects.
- Work collaboratively with Customer Support, Supply & Distribution, Analytics, refinery, operations, and business stakeholders.
- Identify trends, discrepancies, and improvement opportunities, and communicate findings clearly.
- Assist with developing practical recommendations, metrics, presentations, or other project deliverables.
- Participate in intern programming, professional development, community service, and the end-of-summer presentation.
Potential Project Areas
Specific project assignments will be based on business priorities, available data, and the intern's skills and interests. Projects may include work in one or more of the following areas:
- Inventory visibility, accuracy, and reconciliation across facilities, terminals, or warehouses.
- Customer support and Voice of the Customer insights, including recurring service themes and supply-chain opportunities.
- Customer order accuracy, logistics performance, and process improvement.
- Supply-chain metrics, reporting, or dashboard development to support a shared view of performance.
- Cross-functional analysis of operational constraints, service levels, utilization, or other business needs.
Required Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations, Business, Finance, Accounting, Data Analytics, Information Systems, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
- Rising sophomore, junior, or senior for Fall 2027.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
- Attention to detail and willingness to learn new technologies and business concepts.
- Ability to work collaboratively, apply feedback, and interact professionally with employees across multiple functions.
- Availability to work on-site at the Mirror Lake Campus for the duration of the Summer 2027 internship.
Preferred Qualifications
- Coursework, project experience, or prior work experience related to supply chain, operations, business analysis, customer service, or data analytics.
- Familiarity with Excel, reporting tools, data visualization, or process mapping; advanced technical experience is not required.
- Interest in learning how customer, logistics, inventory, analytics, and operating functions work together.
- Curiosity, initiative, and an interest in turning observations and data into practical business insights.
