Work Location: Kuala Lumpur office
Contract Duration: 12 months
Job Purpose:
To manage project materials, equipment and consumables from planning and purchasing through delivery, storage, usage and final reconciliation, ensuring they are available at the right place and time while meeting project and HSE requirements.
Qualification / Certifications:
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Materials Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- SAP MM, warehouse safety, lifting/rigging, or dangerous goods training is an added advantage.
- Minimum eight (8) years of progressive experience in material coordination, material control, warehousing, expediting or project supply chain, preferably within the oil and gas, offshore construction.
- Strong hands-on experience using SAP or an equivalent ERP/material-management system for goods receipt, goods issue, stock transfer and service-entry processes.
- Experience coordinating with PMT, Engineering, Procurement, Logistics, QA/QC, HSE, Finance, vendors, clients, shore bases, vessels and offshore/site teams.
Experience:
- Prepare and maintain material control plans, status reports, expediting records, shortage lists and mobilisation/demobilisation trackers.
- Review material requirements, MTOs and stock availability to identify shortages, long-lead items and available existing stock.
- Raise Purchase Requests (PR) in SAP and monitor the PR-to-PO/SO process with Procurement and Project teams.
- Follow up with suppliers and internal teams to ensure materials are delivered on time and resolve potential delays or shortages.
- Coordinate the receiving, documentation and transfer of materials according to company and client requirements.
- Execute and validate relevant SAP material transactions, including GR/GRN, GI, GT, service entry and stock transfer, ensuring system records match physical quantities and supporting documents.
- Maintain full traceability of project materials and equipment, including PO/SO, delivery order, packing list, material certificates, inspection release, calibration certificate and other client-required documentation.
- Plan and coordinate with logistic team for project mobilisation and demobilisation activities, confirmation of material receipt at destination.
- Control project rental equipment and facilities, including mobilisation, utilisation, off-hire, renewal and return; verify supporting records and service entries to minimise idle rental cost and prevent late charges.
- Perform routine reconciliation, cycle counts and project stock counts; investigate discrepancies, ageing, surplus, damaged, obsolete and missing materials, and drive timely corrective and preventive actions.
- Lead project material close-out, including final reconciliation, return-to-stock, inter-project transfer, vendor return and disposal/scrap documentation.
