Your role

As Head of On-Prem Infrastructure, you lead the organisation, people and capabilities within the area. You are accountable for the strategy, roadmap and delivery of secure, resilient and scalable on-prem infrastructure platforms and services, aligned with Saab’s business and technology priorities. The role focuses on infrastructure platforms, services and automation layers that run on Saab's physical infrastructure estate.

Your mission is to lead the evolution of Saab’s on-prem infrastructure towards modern private cloud and software-defined platform capabilities. Through platform engineering, Infrastructure as Code and automation, you will enable secure, resilient and scalable infrastructure services consumed through APIs and self-service, creating a more efficient and scalable operating model across Saab's on-prem infrastructure platforms.

You will ensure the availability, security and resilience of Saab's core infrastructure services while balancing operational excellence, service quality and continuous modernisation.

As part of the Modern Infrastructure management team, you will work closely with business stakeholders, technology leaders and infrastructure peers to align strategy, technology investments and operational delivery with Saab's long-term business and technology objectives. The role requires some travel to meet with your teams and business stakeholders.

In this role, you will

• Lead, develop and engage employees and leaders within the area
• Own the strategy and roadmap for Saab's private cloud platforms, core on-prem infrastructure services and automation capabilities
• Ensure secure, resilient and reliable infrastructure services and drive continuous improvement in service quality
• Drive the evolution of Saab's infrastructure platforms through automation, Infrastructure as Code and platform engineering practices
• Lead platform modernisation, standardisation and technical debt reduction initiatives.
• Establish governance, standards and lifecycle management for infrastructure platforms and services
• Build strong relationships with business stakeholders, vendors and strategic partners.

You are an experienced leader who combines strong people leadership with technology insight and business understanding. You have a proven ability to lead teams through change, build high-performing organisations and deliver results in complex environments.

You are comfortable balancing strategic thinking with operational execution and know how to turn technology ambitions into sustainable capabilities and business value.

As a leader, you create engagement, develop people and foster a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.

Key qualifications and experience

• Academic degree in a relevant field, or equivalent experience
• Proven experience leading managers and technical teams in large, complex organisations
• Extensive experience leading private cloud, infrastructure platform or enterprise infrastructure services organisations
• Strong understanding of modern infrastructure technologies, security, resilience and service operations
• Experience driving infrastructure modernisation through automation, Infrastructure as Code and platform engineering
• Experience establishing governance, standards and effective operating models
• Experience from the defence industry or other highly regulated and security-sensitive industries is considered an advantage
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to align business and technology priorities
• Fluency in both Swedish and English, both written and spoken
