FINANCE ASSISTANT | INTERNATIONAL GROUP
Location: Skopje, North Macedonia
Employment Type: Full-time
Working Hours: Monday – Friday | 09:00 – 17:30 (UK working hours, with flexibility to work 08:30 – 17:00)
About the Role
This is an excellent opportunity to join an international finance team supporting multiple companies within a growing business group.
Reporting directly to the Financial Accountant, you will play an important role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the finance function by processing financial transactions accurately, maintaining financial records, and supporting month-end activities.

Key Responsibilities
Accounts Payable
- Process supplier invoices accurately and within agreed deadlines.
- Review, verify, and code invoices to the correct ledger accounts, cost centers, and legal entities.
- Reconcile supplier statements and resolve invoice discrepancies.
- Manage finance inboxes and respond promptly to supplier enquiries.
- Liaise with suppliers and internal stakeholders regarding invoice and payment matters.
Accounts Receivable
- Prepare and issue customer invoices in accordance with approved procedures.
- Ensure invoices are accurate, complete, and issued within agreed deadlines.
- Assist with customer account reconciliations and billing enquiries.
Banking & Cash Allocation
- Allocate incoming bank receipts to customer and supplier accounts.
- Match payments against outstanding invoices and investigate discrepancies.
- Assist with daily bank reconciliations.
- Support supplier payment runs and cash allocation activities.
General Finance
- Maintain accurate financial records across multiple Group entities.
- Assist with month-end closing activities, reconciliations, and accruals.
- Support internal and external audit processes.
- Ensure compliance with internal financial controls and company policies.
- Identify opportunities to improve finance processes and efficiency.
- Provide administrative support to the wider finance team when required.
What We Are Looking For
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous experience in Finance, Accounting, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, or Finance Administration.
- Experience processing a high volume of financial transactions.
- Experience working with accounting software (experience with AccountsIQ will be considered an advantage).
- Strong Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to priorities workload and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with colleagues and external partners.
- Professional working proficiency in English (both written and spoken).
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field will be considered an advantage.
- Experience working within an international or multi-entity organization will be considered an asset.
