Description
We are looking for a detail-oriented Tax Specialist to lead day-to-day tax compliance and reporting for Electrum. This role will ensure accurate, timely, and compliant tax processes while partnering with Finance and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Calculate, prepare, and submit monthly and annual tax returns, including:
a. Withholding Tax (PPh 21, PPh 23, PPh 4(2), PPh 26, and other applicable taxes)
b. Corporate Income Tax installments (PPh 25)
c. Value Added Tax (VAT/PPN)
d. Annual Corporate Income Tax Return - Prepare tax payments and ensure all payments and filings are completed accurately and on time.
- Reconcile tax records with the general ledger and supporting documents.
- Review invoices, contracts, and transactions to determine the appropriate tax treatment.
- Prepare and maintain tax working papers, reconciliations, and supporting documentation.
- Monitor tax compliance deadlines and maintain the company’s tax calendar.
- Handle tax correspondence, clarification letters, and requests from the tax authorities.
- Support tax audits, tax objections, appeals, and other tax dispute processes.
- Liaise with tax authorities, external tax consultants, auditors, and internal stakeholders.
- Identify potential tax exposures and recommend corrective actions.
- Monitor changes in Indonesian tax regulations and assess their impact on the company.
- Support tax planning initiatives while ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.
- Assist with transfer pricing documentation and related-party transaction reviews, when applicable.
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes related to tax accounts.
- Maintain proper documentation in accordance with company policies and tax regulations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Taxation (S1) from reputable university
- Having Brevet A & B certification is a must, having Brevet C certification would be a great plus point.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in tax, with a focus on retail and automotive sectors.
- Strong knowledge of Indonesian tax regulations, particularly those relevant to manufacturing, retail, and VAT.
- Experience in preparing corporate income tax returns, VAT filings, withholding tax, and other related tax compliance matters.
- Past experiences in a start-up, e-commerce, technology, or similar environment are preferable.
