Senior Analyst, Financial Reporting

Job Summary:

Responsible for the preparation of external and internal financial reports to support the Company, regulatory filings and informed decision making on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis. Contributes to the organization by maintaining efficient reporting processes, delivering clear financial insights to leadership, and enhancing data accuracy and workflow effectiveness through technology enabled solutions.

Job Description:

• Collects, reviews and analyzes financial data and reports to identify trends, variances and provide actionable insights for business decisions.

• Prepares monthly, quarterly, and annual financial information, supporting internal and external reporting requirements.

• Develops clear reports and dashboards to communicate financial findings to leaders and departments, and support performance tracking.

• Serves as liaison with key stakeholders, assisting with variance analysis and collaborating to ensure accurate and relevant financial information.

• Collaborates with cross-functional teams (General Accounting, Project Accounting, Financial Management, and External Reporting) to resolve issues, support Board presentations and key deliverable, and define data needs to ensure accurate and relevant analysis aligned with goals.

• Follows established company policies, procedures, and standards to ensure full compliance with applicable laws and industry regulations.

• Participates in storm restoration tasks and assigned drills to contribute to the safe and reliable recovery of services.

• Performs additional tasks aligned with role expectations and qualifications to support team goals and operational flexibility.

Additional Job Description:

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration

Experience

• 6 years of experience in a similar role

• Power BI skills (required)

Preferred Experience in:

• Regulated utility accounting.

• Oracle

• Excel based reporting software (Smartview, Splash BI, etc.)

• Advanced MS Excel skills (preferred).

• Experience with PowerApps and Power Automate.

• Communication: Exhibits strong written, verbal, and presentation communication abilities in English and/or Spanish.
