PAY RANGE
The Target Pay Range for this position is $38.56-$47.02 hourly. The full Pay Range is $30.00-$55.63 hourly. hourly.BENEFITS – because people helping people starts with supporting you

IMPACT YOU’LL MAKE:
As a Sr Business Support Assistant, you’ll be a vital partner to BECU’s Commercial Real Estate Lending team, helping Relationship Managers deliver an exceptional experience for existing and prospective business members. You’ll bring together administrative, sales, lending, and technical support to keep opportunities moving, strengthen member relationships, and help ensure every interaction reflects BECU’s commitment to service.
You’ll be a trusted first point of contact for incoming business member sales and service calls and a key connector between the Commercial Real Estate Lending team and Commercial Loan Operations. Your attention to detail, ability to coordinate across teams, and commitment to follow-through will help create a seamless experience for members and support the team’s success from loan origination through portfolio management.
To join our dynamic team in this role, we require candidates to be residents of WA. This hybrid role requires a minimum of 2 days a week onsite at our Tukwila Financial Center headquarters, with the flexibility to work remotely on other days.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Loan Origination & Portfolio Support: Support the Business Relationship Management team across loan originations, portfolio management, covenant monitoring, deposit account servicing, and new member setup/onboarding.
- Credit & Pricing Support: Support Relationship Managers (RMs) with new loan requests by analyzing financial statements and calculating property and global debt coverage, preparing credit pre-flights, working with the pricing desk to ensure proper loan pricing, tracking pricing exceptions, and completing Term Sheets for delivery to prospective borrowers.
- Pipeline & Closing Coordination: Attend Underwriting and Documentation team meetings on behalf of the Relationship Managers to help ensure loans are tracking to expected closing dates. Log and maintain sales activity reports, including the preflight and pipeline log.
- Member Communications: Support RMs with written communication to borrowers, including Adverse Action notices, Annual Review letters, and other marketing material.
- Loan Activity Tracking: Input and track incoming loan volume through ACTION. Monitor and keep pipeline communication to underwriting and documentation updated for all loan activity.
- Third-Party Reports & Site Inspections: Work with RMs to request third-party reports. Input and track requests through Collateral 360, upload documents for vendors, and gather information for third-party site inspections for annual reviews. You may be asked to perform site inspections for annual reviews on behalf of an RM.
- CRM Ownership & Improvement: Serve as the primary contact for the regular review, maintenance, issue resolution, and functional improvements for the Business Services customer relationship management (CRM) system. Manage data input and reporting within the CRM to support Relationship Managers and their member clients.
- Business Account Servicing: Provide Business deposit and loan account servicing for all business members who are managed by Relationship Managers.
- Relationship & Service Support: Interact directly with business members and external centers of influence, including accountants, attorneys, and advisors, via telephone, email, and in-person interactions to provide superior service and follow-up.
- Commercial Lease Review: Review commercial leases in order to prepare appropriate Subordination Agreements.
- Legal Documentation Coordination: Work directly with borrowers and third parties to coordinate execution of legal documentation related to loan closings, SNDAs, Secretary of State, attorneys, Insurance Requirements, CPAs, and other requirements.
- Title & Escrow Coordination: Work directly with Title and Escrow to clear title exceptions, open escrow for new loan transactions, and coordinate borrower closings.
- Loan Payoff Coordination: Work with other financial institutions to gather loan payoffs for timely loan closings.
- Construction Loan Support: Review construction loan draws and ensure collection of complete documentation for underwriting of construction loan advance requests.
- Documentation & Exception Resolution: Assist the Business Services Documentation team in clearing outstanding tickler items and policy exceptions. Follow up directly with BECU business members on tickler items for Relationship Manager loan portfolios and provide support for deposit account maintenance.
- Reporting & Presentation Support: Prepare credit applications, portfolio and pipeline reports, and marketing presentations.
- Credit & Market Research: Run credit reports, Dunn and Bradstreet and CoStar reports for credit files in support of the Relationship Management team.
- Member Documentation & Closing Support: In partnership with Relationship Mangers, obtain financial information and other required documentation from members for new member requests and facilitate loan closings and document signings.
- Regulatory Timeline Tracking: Track timelines on new credit requests to ensure regulated timelines are met for loan approvals, withdrawn and denied loan requests in partnership with the loan processors.
- Member Profiles: Prepare member information profiles for each member.
- Broker & Sales Reporting: Maintain Broker Logs and ensure booked loan reports are accurate for sales reporting.
- Marketing Support: Provide sales support to Relationship Managers by coordinating mailers, flyers, postcards and newsletters.
- Additional Support: Perform additional duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree or equivalent work or education experience to include operations, accounting and/or customer service.
- Minimum of 3 years of retail banking sales, sales support, customer service, or operations experience, preferably in business and/or commercial banking.
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience in commercial loan processing and/or commercial loan relationship management support in a commercial banking/lending environment.
- Construction draw administration experience.
- Detail oriented with a high degree of accuracy and quality.
- Proficient verbal and written skills to effectively communicate in the English language.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks. Good project management skills.
- Sound proofreading and mathematical ability.
