What will you do as a Digital Transformation Specialist?
The Digital Transformation Specialist partners with departments to understand business processes, identify improvement opportunities, and recommend practical solutions through reporting, analytics, automation, workflow improvements, and business applications. The position owns the Power BI reporting environment and serves as the primary resource for business intelligence, reporting, business analysis, and process improvement.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Business Analysis and Process Improvement
- Build relationships with departments to understand processes, challenges, and business objectives.
- Gather requirements, document current and future processes, and recommend improvements that reduce manual work and improve efficiency, controls, and decision making.
- Analyze current-state and future-state business processes, identify gaps, evaluate business impacts, and develop recommendations that improve efficiency, controls, reporting, and user experience.
Business Intelligence and Reporting
- Own and administer the Power BI environment and develop reports, dashboards, data models, and visualizations.
- Partner with stakeholders to define reporting requirements, KPIs, metrics, and business rules and ensure reporting accuracy and usability.
Solution Design and Automation
- Evaluate business challenges and recommend appropriate solutions using reporting, Power Platform, workflow tools, digital forms, automation, and business applications.
- Collaborate with Application Support Analysts on implementation planning, testing, deployment, and adoption.
Stakeholder Engagement and Data Quality
- Facilitate process reviews, requirements sessions, reporting discussions, and solution workshops.
- Facilitate workshops, process reviews, requirements sessions, solution-design discussions, and stakeholder meetings that support process improvement, technology adoption, and organizational change.
- Work with application owners and stakeholders to resolve reporting and data-quality issues and communicate findings and recommendations.
Continuous Improvement
- Stay current on Power BI, analytics, automation, and process-improvement practices.
- Maintain a prioritized pipeline of improvement opportunities and track expected and realized business results.
- Participate in cross-functional projects, process improvement initiatives, technology implementations, and other assignments that support business objectives and operational excellence.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, vendors, and IT team members to identify opportunities for process improvement, technology adoption, reporting enhancements, and operational effectiveness.

Requirements
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Associates degree Business, Information Systems, Analytics, Data Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 2 or more years of experience with business analysis, reporting, analytics, process improvement, Power BI, data modeling, or technology implementation.
- Experience gathering requirements and working directly with business stakeholders; Power Platform or workflow automation experience preferred.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Work in an office environment; sustained posture in a seated position for prolonged periods of time; may utilize a computer terminal for prolonged periods of time.
- Work involves walking, talking and hearing using hands to handle, feel or operate objects. Vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to focus when using computer terminal
- Work involves bending, stooping, crouching, crawling, and lifting objects up to 50lbs unassisted.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Must be willing to travel to other company locations approximately 10-20% and attend out-of-town training and/or seminars.
- Working hours vary between 5 am and 6 pm depending upon schedules and the season, Monday through Friday. A minimum of 40 hours is expected per week, additional hours or weekends may be required occasionally to take advantage of off-peak system usage times for upgrades, testing, and installs that are necessary for this position.
- Mandatory participation in an on-call rotation one week every several weeks. On-call equipment including a cell phone is provided for the weekly duration.
