About the Position

Shiloh House is seeking a passionate and dedicated Family Support Professional to provide in-home and community-based services to youth and families throughout the Denver Metro Area.

The Family Support Professional works directly with families to help them identify strengths and needs, establish goals, develop practical plans, and connect with community resources. This position provides a variety of services, including supervised visitation, coaching, life skills support, and other family-focused services.

Compensation

In accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the expected pay range for this Colorado position is $19.16–$23.95 per hour. Actual compensation may be adjusted based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.

Schedule & Work Environment

• Flexible schedule with evening availability and one weekend day required
• Community-based position with travel throughout the Denver Metro Area
• Services provided primarily in clients’ homes and community settings
• Up to 25 face-to-face service hours per week, based on client and program needs
• Must have a reliable vehicle and be comfortable traveling to assigned locations

Key Responsibilities

Family & Youth Support

• Provide in-home and community-based services, including supervised visitation, coaching, and life skills support.
• Help youth and families identify strengths, address needs, establish goals, and develop plans for success.
• Support healthy family relationships, appropriate boundaries, treatment goals, safety plans, and therapeutic recommendations.
• Connect families with community resources and services.
• Build positive, professional relationships with youth, families, community partners, clinicians, and other professionals.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and participate in required meetings and trainings.
• Remain flexible and responsive to the changing needs of youth and families.

Supervised Visitation & Transportation

• Provide and monitor supervised visitation in accordance with program requirements and safety standards.
• Transport clients to and from visitations, activities, appointments, and other approved services as needed.
• Maintain a safe, reliable vehicle and accurately document mileage and vehicle maintenance.
• Maintain professional and presentable environments at locations used for services.

Documentation & Compliance

• Complete accurate progress notes, billing documentation, monthly progress reports, discharge reports, and other required records.
• Document critical incidents within established timelines.
• Participate in Performance and Quality Improvement (PQI) activities.
• Follow all Shiloh House policies, procedures, safety requirements, and applicable program standards.

Client Interaction & Safety

• Maintain professional boundaries while creating a supportive, nurturing, and respectful environment.
• Communicate effectively with youth, families, coworkers, supervisors, and outside professionals.
• Recognize behavioral and emotional needs and respond appropriately to challenging situations.
• Provide structure, consistency, and support to youth experiencing challenges related to trauma, neglect, or other adverse experiences.
• Complete required Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) training and utilize approved intervention techniques when necessary to maintain safety.
• Remain attentive and prepared to respond to client needs at all times.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in human services related field (Experience may be substituted college with the approval of the Administrator).
• Experience working with youth and families
• Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to maintain professional boundaries and remain calm in challenging situations.
• Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules, client needs, and community settings.
• Reliable vehicle
• Ability to travel throughout the Denver Metro Area.
• Availability to work evenings and one weekend day.
• Must maintain a clean motor vehicle record (MVR).
• Must have a valid Colorado driver’s license or the ability to obtain one with a clean motor vehicle record.
• Applicants must successfully complete a comprehensive background screening as a condition of employment, in accordance with Colorado Department of Human Services regulations for child care facilities. This screening includes state criminal background checks, fingerprinting, sex offender registry searches, and abuse and neglect clearances. If the applicant has lived in any other state within the past five years, equivalent background and abuse/neglect checks from those states will also be conducted. In addition, all direct care applicants are required to complete a health evaluation or physical prior to beginning service to confirm they are fit for duty.
