The Impact You’ll Make

As a Senior DevOps Engineer at Incode, you will be the backbone of our cloud infrastructure. You'll architect and evolve scalable, cloud-native systems that power secure and seamless identity experiences, leveraging Kubernetes (AWS EKS), Terraform, and AWS. Your work will accelerate deployments, fortify monitoring and observability, and ensure reliability at global scale. Partnering closely with our developers, you'll transform complex challenges into resilient, automated solutions that keep our applications highly available and performant. You will be a key enabler of speed, trust, and innovation - driving how Incode builds, delivers, and scales AI-driven identity verification for the world.

On-call, up front: the DevOps team does not carry 24/7 on-call. A separate SRE team owns incident response.

What You’ll Own & Drive

• Cloud-Native Infrastructure - Design, implement, and maintain Kubernetes-based environments (AWS EKS) that deliver scalability, resilience, and security.
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC) - Implement and manage Terraform-driven automation to ensure consistency, repeatability, and reliability across all client deployments.
• Production Reliability - Troubleshoot and resolve issues in live environments, minimizing downtime and ensuring seamless customer experiences.
• Monitoring & Logging - Build and optimize observability solutions with Prometheus, Loki, ELK, or similar stacks, tailoring systems to business and performance needs.
• GitOps & Delivery - Work with ArgoCD-based GitOps workflows as part of the deployment pipeline, alongside GitHub Actions CI/CD.
• Engineering Standards - Contribute to and refine internal best practices, methodologies, and automation frameworks that elevate the DevOps culture.
• Continuous Innovation - Stay on top of AWS and DevOps advancements, introducing new tools and approaches that enhance speed, efficiency, and scalability.

• Cloud-Native Builder - You bring proven expertise in designing, deploying, and managing applications on Kubernetes, with a deep understanding of its architecture and core concepts.
• Infrastructure as Code Champion - You're highly skilled with Terraform, driving automation and consistency across complex environments.
• Pipeline Innovator - You have hands-on experience implementing and optimizing CI/CD workflows using GitHub Actions, accelerating delivery while ensuring quality.
• AWS Practitioner - You possess a strong command of core AWS services (EC2, VPC, S3, IAM, etc.) and know how to leverage them for scalable, secure solutions.
• Observability Builder - You've personally configured, tuned, or debugged a self-hosted monitoring stack (Grafana with Prometheus or VictoriaMetrics), not just consumed dashboards someone else built.
• Systems & Networking Thinker - You understand networking fundamentals - TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S - and apply them to build reliable, high-performance systems.
• Clear Communicator - You excel at translating technical solutions into language that resonates with both technical peers and non-technical stakeholders.

Your Background

• 6+ years of proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar role.
• Hands-on experience deploying and managing Kubernetes-based applications, ideally on AWS EKS.
• Strong expertise in Terraform and infrastructure automation.
• Experience designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions.
• Solid understanding of AWS services including EC2, VPC, S3, IAM, and related offerings.
• Knowledge of networking protocols and best practices (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S).
• Hands-on ownership of a Prometheus or VictoriaMetrics-based observability stack, including performance and scaling issues.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present technical solutions effectively.
