CREDIT ANALYST JOB DESCRIPTION
Educational Requirements:
- Strong academic record, quantitative skills and an interest in and understanding of financial markets.
- CA with around 4-10 years of Financial / Industry experience, including previous exposure to credit markets / analysis.
- MBA along with CA would be preferred.
- Any progress towards CFA (AIMR, USA) would be preferred.
Position Summary:
The position is based in Mumbai and will involve working in Morgan Stanley Fixed Income Department research team for doing credit research, financial analysis and modelling, setting up/maintaining industry databases, data collation and analysis, writing reports and participating in the investment recommendation decision making process.
Purpose of the Job:
- Analyzing financial statements, company and industry research, peer comparison, give a view on the creditworthiness of the proposed issuers . (Corporates , Banks & Financial Institutions & NBFCs )
- Monitoring of the existing Issuers, structured debt papers and provide inputs to the Fund management team.
- Interacting with issuers and rating agency for the monitoring purpose.
- Interacting with the market participants ( including banks, NBFCs and MFs) for purpose of presenting credit views to them and monitoring purpose.
- Analyzing structured papers of from various NBFCs and Banks for buyout and monitoring
- Preparation of periodic MIS, thematic research, industry research, including updates for Investment Committee.
- Structuring the transaction and closing the transaction documents with parties involved
- Ensuring that pre and post transaction documentation requirements are met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Tracking respective issuer , instruments , sectors and making buy, sell or hold decision.
- Reading the market information and behavior closely to analyze better.
- Managing rating migration in highly favorable manner.
- Closing credit discussion and documentation with the parties involved.
