What you will do
As Buyer, you will be responsible to purchase goods, materials and service to ensure that the company operational needs are met, taking into account price, quality and delivery and to ensure continuity of supply. You will be responsible to negotiate long-term and short-term transactions with Vendor and Subcontractors. The position is likely to suit a dynamic team player with a ‘can do’ attitude.
How you will do it
- Purchase goods, materials or services in line with specified cost, quality and delivery targets.
- Negotiate contracts, improved prices and terms of business with suppliers and review opportunities to make business savings utilizing negotiation and procurement best practice tools and methods
- Identify, assess and evaluates suppliers and undertake performance reviews to ensure contract compliance and manage performance improvement activities
- Ensure compliance to company guidelines, purchasing policies and procedures during supplier negotiations and contracts
- Explore alternate sources for goods and materials
- Manage the process from purchase requisition to Purchase order
- Contact supplier to resolve price, quality, delivery or invoices issue
- Manage the procurement process of multiple projects through tender process to construction and successful completion.
- Analysis of quotations, lead negotiations with prospective Sub-Contractors, managing pre & post tender
- Monitoring and reporting of procurement results against budget
- Managing pre-order meetings
- Assembling and issuing subcontract documentation
What we look for
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Economics or similar Bachelor and/or Master
- Demonstrable a minimum of 3-5 years of experience of working in a similar position
- An understanding of construction, engineering processes, procurement procedures is a pre-requisite of the role, and a good understanding of standard construction forms of contract will be a distinct advantage
- Strong negotiation and communication skills are prerequisite
- Willingness to lead by example, with a strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work under pressure, whilst ensuring deadlines are met
- Fluent in English and Italian, both written and spoken
- Computer literacy is essential, particularly with MS Word and Excel.

We offer:
The initial basic salary for this position will be in the range of € 40.900 – € 56.200 per year. The final package will reflect your experience, skills, and qualifications relevant to the role. The overall compensation package may include variable components and additional company benefits, which will be discussed during the selection process.
