Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Operations Controller to join our team in Durban, South Africa. The Operations Controller will be responsible for overseeing and managing the daily operations of our company, ensuring efficiency, productivity, and profitability. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operations management, excellent problem-solving skills, and a proven track record of driving results.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage the daily operations of the company, including production, logistics, and supply chain management
• Develop and implement operational strategies to improve efficiency and productivity
• Monitor and analyze key performance indicators to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions
• Manage and optimize inventory levels to meet customer demand and minimize costs
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of products and services
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards
• Identify and implement process improvements to streamline operations and reduce costs
• Train and develop team members to ensure a high-performing and motivated workforce
• Prepare and present reports on operations performance to senior management

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in operations management, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting
• Strong knowledge of supply chain management principles and practices
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Proven track record of achieving operational targets and driving process improvements
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and ERP systems
• Willingness to travel as needed
