Description

The IT Manager oversees factory IT infrastructure, enterprise systems (like ERP and MES), and local tech support to ensure smooth production operations, and acts as the primary technology partner for factory operations. You will lead all on-site IT functions, bridge the gap between corporate IT standards and local factory needs, and ensure maximum uptime for manufacturing, inventory, and logistics systems.

Duties and Responsibilities

Infrastructure & Operations

  • Manage local area networks (LAN/WAN), Wi-Fi, servers, hardware, and backup/disaster recovery processes in the facility.
  • Maintain high availability and security for factory networks, CCTV, and access control systems.
  • Troubleshoot critical hardware, software, and network issues quickly to avoid production downtime.

Systems Management & Implementation

  • Oversee enterprise software, including Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), and warehouse tools.
  • Translate business and production needs into practical IT solutions.
  • Support data reporting, production dashboards, and automation tools.

Team Leadership & Vendor Management

  • Lead, mentor, and schedule the local IT support team.
  • Coordinate with external technology vendors, service providers, and regional corporate headquarters.
  • Conduct user training and maintain clear system documentation for factory staff.

Job Requirements: Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
  • Minimum of 8 to 10 years of progressive IT experience.
  • Solid exposure to a manufacturing environment; garment or textile industry experience is strongly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, networking, and system administration.
  • Familiarity with ERP/MES systems used in apparel production (e.g., tracking cutting, sewing, and packing lines).
  • Hands-on experience with data backup protocols and disaster recovery.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to work with diverse, cross-functional teams.
  • Fluency in English is mandatory; knowledge of Chinese (Mandarin) or Khmer is a distinct advantage for communicating with regional teams and local operators.
