Overview:
We are currently seeking an Environmental Assistant to join our team at Breedon Cement, Kinnegad. As an Environmental Assistant you will be responsible for:
Assisting in the daily running of the environmental department and monitoring of key environmental indicators.

- Ensuring on-going compliance with the site’s Industrial Emissions license.
- Assisting in the maintenance of the site’s environmental management systems (ISO 14001, BES 6001).
- Undertaking field sampling and conduct laboratory analysis on surface and groundwater samples.
- Assisting in regular site environmental inspections.
- Assisting with environmental complaints, incidents and non-compliances.
- The preparation of environmental reports and records, as required.
- Ensuring the compliance with the Company Health and Safety Regulations and policies.
- Demonstrating flexibility and the ability to undertake any other reasonable duties as required to meet the daily business needs on matters arising.
- Effectively managing the working week to meet reporting and task completion deadlines.
- Traveling to various sites within the Group (Cavan and Laois) regularly, as required.
What we need from you!
- A degree/diploma in the environmental field.
- Strong written and communication skills.
- High attention to detail and organisation.
- Full, clean driving license is required.
- 1-2 years’ experience is preferred but not a pre-requisite.
