  • Build capability roadmaps covering future-state tools, process improvements, automation opportunities and data enhancements.
  • Continuously improve risk frameworks, methodologies and controls based on business needs, emerging threats and lessons learned.

2. Material, Supplier and Supply Continuity Risk

  • Own the Material Risk Assessment methodology and annual AROP cycle, including methodology refresh, category engagement, risk scoring, mitigation planning and progress tracking.

  • Maintain accurate material risk trackers and optimize their usability, data quality and relevance for decision-making and reporting.

3. Responsible sourcing

  • Manage supplier registration, site association and required information in SEDEX, partnering with category teams and suppliers to address gaps and maintain accurate records.
  • Monitor supplier and site compliance, track completion against established requirements and follow up on overdue or incomplete actions.
  • Coordinate with Sustainability, category teams and suppliers on SEDEX related issues, escalations and remediation actions.
  • Maintain SEDEX compliance dashboards and reporting, providing leadership with visibility to coverage, gaps, progress and priority actions.
  • Develop guidance and training to support consistent SEDEX compliance across North America Procurement.

4. Risk Decision Support and Category Enablement

  • Serve as the primary Procurement Risk point of contact for North America category teams and emerging risk issues, coordinating rapid assessment, stakeholder alignment and response recommendations.
  • Build and maintain a catalog of tools, templates and risk profiles that enable category teams to incorporate risk into category strategies, sourcing strategies, supplier reviews, SRM activities and joint business plans.
  • Lead regular category risk reviews, provide ad hoc guidance and troubleshooting, and drive mitigation progress against established KPIs.
  • Assemble cross-functional teams and create situation-specific decision frameworks to prioritize and address complex or critical risk exposures.

5. Cross-Functional Governance and Business Partnership

  • Lead governance routines with Supply Chain, Operations, Food Safety & Quality, R&D, Finance, Legal, Sustainability and other partners, integrating cross-functional risks that may affect supply continuity.
  • Partner with Business Units to prioritize critical mitigation projects, align resources and ensure the risk agenda supports strategic business objectives.
  • Present risk exposure, mitigation progress and priority decisions through BU performance routines and to senior Procurement and business leadership.
  • Strengthen procurement governance controls, monitor remediation and corrective actions, ensure compliance with policies and regulatory requirements, and support internal and external audits.

6. Digital Risk Intelligence, Data and Reporting

  • Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of procurement risk technologies, predictive analytics and automated monitoring capabilities.
  • Integrate relevant internal and external intelligence sources into risk processes and decision-making.
  • Build executive-ready dashboards and reporting that provide visibility to material and supplier risk exposure, mitigation pipelines, priority projects and performance against targets.
  • Own country-of-origin mapping capability and governance, including data refresh cadence, data ownership, collection standards, system integration and cross-functional use cases.

7. Communication, Training and Adoption

  • Develop and maintain annual stakeholder communication and engagement plans, including North America and Global Procurement risk updates.
  • Maintain the Risk Hub on Proc Connect so current tools, templates, guidance and training materials are accessible and ready for use.
  • Develop and deliver training on material and supplier risk, and maintain playbooks, SOPs and best-practice documentation to standardize processes and enable scalable adoption.
