Lead Analyst - Electronic Data Interchange

## What you’ll do:

Eaton’s Corporate IT team is seeking a System Analyst – EDI to join our EDI team. This role will support enterprise digitization and global B2B integration across customers and suppliers in the Americas, EMEA, and APAC regions.

We are looking for someone with a strong understanding of end-to-end business processes, particularly Procure-to-Pay (P2P) and/or Order-to-Cash (O2C), combined with solid SAP functional knowledge in MM and/or SD. Prior hands-on EDI or Sterling B2B Integrator experience is beneficial but not mandatory.

The ideal candidate should have a strong functional and analytical mindset, understand how business transactions flow through SAP and integrated systems, and be eager to develop expertise in EDI, B2B integration, and Sterling B2B Integrator.

You will work closely with Supply Chain, Customer Service, SAP functional teams, EDI developers, and other IT teams to translate business requirements into scalable integration solutions.

## Job Responsibilities:

• Serve as the primary point of contact for EDI integrations involving SAP SD/MM and EDI business processes.
• Develop a strong understanding of Eaton’s customer and SCM - supplier integration landscape and become a subject matter expert in end-to-end EDI business processes.
• Understand and analyze end-to-end P2P and/or O2C business processes, including how transactions are created, processed, and integrated through SAP.
• Apply strong SAP functional knowledge in MM and/or SD to support business process and integration requirements.
• Understand SAP integration concepts such as IDocs, partner profiles, output processing, inbound/outbound interfaces, master data, and transactional data.
• Partner with the EDI Product Owner to decompose epics into actionable features and user stories aligned with business objectives.
• Assess the impact of business processes or SAP changes on downstream and upstream EDI integrations.
• Support customer and supplier onboarding from requirements gathering through SAP configuration coordination, EDI mapping, testing, and production deployment.
• Build knowledge of EDI standards and transactions such as X12 and EDIFACT, including common P2P and O2C transactions such as purchase orders, order acknowledgments, shipment notifications, and invoices.
• Provide Level 3 support for EDI production incidents, performing root cause analysis and driving timely issue resolution.
• Lead end-to-end trading partner onboarding activities, including requirements gathering, SAP setup coordination, EDI mapping, testing, and production deployment.
• Maintain functional documentation, process flows, onboarding guides, and operational procedures related to SAP EDI integrations.
• Learn and develop working knowledge of Sterling B2B Integrator and core EDI concepts, including partner onboarding, mapping, communication protocols, transaction monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Analyze integration issues across business processes, SAP, and EDI platforms to determine whether the root cause relates to business data, SAP processing, EDI mapping, or integration flow.
• Maintain functional documentation, business process flows, integration requirements, onboarding guides, and operational procedures.
• Work effectively with geographically distributed business and technology teams across the Americas, EMEA, and APAC.

## Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in B.E., B.Tech., MCA, B.Sc., or equivalent.
• 6–12 years of experience in SAP functional, business process, ERP integration, or related areas.
• Strong understanding of P2P and/or O2C business processes.
• Strong SAP functional knowledge in MM and/or SD.
• Good understanding of SAP integration concepts, IDocs, partner profiles, and interfaces.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and business requirement analysis skills.
• Effective communication and collaboration across business and technical teams.
• Strong interest and willingness to learn EDI, B2B integration, and Sterling B2B Integrator.

Preferred / Good to Have :

• Exposure to EDI/B2B integration and standards such as X12 or EDIFACT.
• Experience with Sterling B2B Integrator or another EDI/B2B platform.
• Knowledge of common P2P/O2C EDI transactions, such as PO, order acknowledgment, ASN, and invoice.
• Experience with customer/supplier onboarding and integration.
• Knowledge of AS2, SFTP, or VAN connectivity.
• Experience with JIRA, Agile, and global business teams.
