Position Summary
Our client, a large and diversified corporate group, is seeking a highly analytical and commercially aware Senior Group Financial Analyst to support executive leadership through advanced financial analysis, performance reporting, forecasting, and strategic decision support.
The successful candidate will play a critical role in gathering, analyzing, and interpreting complex financial and operational data across multiple business entities. This individual will assist Senior Management in monitoring organizational performance, identifying opportunities for improvement, supporting budgeting processes, and enhancing overall business decision-making.
The ideal candidate must demonstrate strong analytical capabilities, advanced reporting skills, professionalism, confidentiality, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced multi-entity environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide financial analysis, forecasting, reporting, and project support to Senior Management.
- Analyze operational and financial data to identify trends, risks, inefficiencies, and opportunities for business improvement.
- Develop and maintain financial models and analytical tools to support strategic and operational decision-making.
- Prepare and maintain KPI dashboards and performance reports across assigned business units.
- Monitor variances against budgets and forecasts and provide detailed commentary and recommendations.
- Support the annual budgeting and forecasting process by consolidating departmental submissions and preparing financial summaries.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial and banking reports.
- Assist with cash flow monitoring, reconciliations, and financial reporting activities.
- Support cross-functional initiatives and special projects as assigned by Senior Management.
- Ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and security of all financial and operational information handled.
- Maintain accuracy and consistency in all reporting deliverables while meeting established deadlines.
- Collaborate with internal departments and stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate information flow.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Professional accounting qualification or progression toward certification would be an asset.
- Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in financial analysis, corporate finance, management reporting, or a related role.
- Experience working within a multi-entity or group environment would be highly advantageous.
- Strong understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling.
- Experience using ERP or financial management systems is preferred.
- Knowledge of business intelligence and data visualization tools would be an advantage.
