We are looking for a motivated and customer-focused Parts Sales Specialist to join our team.

Job Description:

In this role, you will be responsible for identifying, developing, and converting parts sales opportunities while providing expert technical support to customers. Acting as a key point of contact for both internal and external stakeholders, you will use your product knowledge, commercial awareness, and relationship-building skills to help customers maximise the performance and reliability of their Perkins-powered equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and convert Perkins parts sales opportunities through proactive customer engagement and outstanding service.
• Act as a key point of contact for customers, ensuring service commitments are met in line with the DiPerk Customer Promise.
• Provide expert technical advice on Perkins engines and parts, helping customers identify the right products for their requirements.
• Gather, interpret, and analyse technical information to identify customer needs and maximise sales opportunities.
• Produce and follow up quotations, managing opportunities through to successful completion.
• Build strong working relationships with internal teams, including Customer Service Administration and Parts Interpretation, to ensure seamless customer support.
• Monitor order progress and delivery performance, keeping customers informed and ensuring expectations are consistently met.
• Support CRM activities by maintaining accurate customer records, sales data, and opportunity pipelines.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, enhance customer experience, and increase sales performance.
• Maintain a high level of technical knowledge, positioning yourself and DiPerk as a trusted source of expertise within the Perkins market.

 

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

• Knowledge of diesel engines and associated engine parts.
• Previous experience in parts sales, technical sales, customer service, or a similar commercial environment.
• Strong customer focus with a commitment to delivering exceptional service and building lasting relationships.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical information clearly and confidently.
• Proven ability to identify sales opportunities, negotiate effectively, and successfully close business.
• Confident using CRM systems and maintaining accurate customer and sales records.
• Results-driven, resilient, and motivated to achieve and exceed performance objectives.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to following established processes and procedures.
