About Namaste Solar

Namaste Solar is a worker-owned cooperative, Certified B Corporation, and Public Benefit Corporation. After one month of employment, employees have the opportunity to become co-owners of the company. As a co-owner, you'll have the ability to vote on major company issues, run for the Board of Directors, and participate in annual profit sharing.

We strive to create an inclusive workplace that values collaboration, continuous learning, professional growth, and work-life balance while making a positive impact through renewable energy.

About the position

Portfolio Managers work closely with customers, technicians, equipment manufacturers, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders to coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance activities, support system availability, and ensure contractual obligations are fulfilled. This role combines customer communication, service operations, scheduling, technical coordination, and work order management.

Successful candidates are organized, proactive communicators who enjoy solving problems, managing competing priorities, and working in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same.

A background in solar PV, electrical systems, technical support, service operations, account management, dispatch coordination, or customer service is beneficial but not required. Candidates with strong communication skills, technical aptitude, and a willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.

  • Plan, schedule, and track preventive maintenance activities for assigned customer portfolios.
  • Ensure contractual maintenance obligations are completed on time.
  • Coordinate site access and outage requirements as needed.
  • Track maintenance-related findings, deficiencies, and corrective actions through resolution.

Corrective Maintenance, Warranty & RMA Coordination

  • Verify customer site information, access requirements, and operational constraints are current.
  • Coordinate with utilities, manufacturers, subcontractors, and customer facility personnel as required.
  • Participate in a rotating Manager-on-Duty schedule supporting scheduling, emergency dispatch decisions, and operational coordination.
  • Support emergency response activities and customer escalations when necessary.

Safety

  • Support a strong safety culture by communicating known hazards and operational requirements prior to dispatch.
  • Stop or defer work when safety concerns are identified.
  • Escalate safety concerns, incidents, and operational risks promptly.

How We Work Together

  • Communicate proactively and professionally with customers and coworkers.
  • Collaborate with field technicians, monitoring personnel, and fellow Portfolio Managers to solve problems and support customer needs.
