Buyer I

• Execute procurements for materials, equipment, and services using competitive and non-competitive methods in support of NASA's COSMOS mission operations contract.
• Prepare and issue RFQs, RFPs, and purchase orders while conducting price and cost analysis to ensure timely delivery. Negotiate with suppliers, evaluate supplier performance, and resolve delivery or quality issues while maintaining audit-ready documentation and procurement files.
• Track milestones to meet project schedules and coordinate with government and contractor personnel under tight deadlines.
• This role requires a Bachelor's degree and 3 years of general experience, plus 3 years in supply chain fields.

Required Qualifications

• HS Diploma (or GED) and 7 years of general experience
• Associate's degree and 5 years of general experience
• Bachelor's/Master's degree and 3 years of general experience
• 3 years of direct experience in supply chain fields
• Must be able to obtain a NASA Personal Identity Verification (PIV) Badge for NASA credentials

Desired Qualification

• Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) knowledge and government procurements
• Experience with Office 365 Tools
• Experience with Deltek Costpoint Materials Module

       

Compensation Details:

82,000.00
