Business Analyst - Multifamily Credit Policy & Underwriting

Our client is seeking a Business Analyst to perform detailed requirement-level analysis of Multifamily Credit Policy and Seller/Servicer Guide provisions, decomposing complex underwriting requirements and developing clear traceability documentation.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

• Perform detailed requirement-level analysis of Multifamily Credit Policy and Seller/Servicer Guide provisions; decompose into discrete, traceable business and underwriting requirements
• Assess alignment and analyze differences across applicable documentation, including terminology, defined terms, thresholds, conditions, and exceptions
• Identify and document material gaps, conflicts, inconsistencies, and omissions; develop clear, concise traceability documentation with source evidence
• Apply multifamily underwriting expertise to interpret requirements in loan origination context, including property financial performance, borrower position, market considerations, and credit risk
• Collaborate with internal Credit Policy, Underwriting, and subject matter experts to validate interpretations and proactively identify issues
• Participate in peer reviews, quality assurance activities, and recommend resolution approaches for identified issues
• Maintain all analysis and documentation using Jira, Confluence, and other approved Atlassian tools

Requirements

• 5–8 years of experience in business analysis, multifamily commercial real estate underwriting, and/or credit policy analysis
• Strong expertise in requirements decomposition, traceability, and systems analysis
• Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, and the Atlassian product suite
• Technical knowledge of Java and AMQ/JMS/message-driven architecture
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to produce clear, concise documentation
• High attention to detail and ability to manage complex, multi-faceted analysis across multiple documentation sources
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and synthesize feedback from subject matter experts
