Our client, a JSE-listed manufacturing company, with a significant national footprint, is looking for an experienced Solutions Development Manager to lead the development and delivery of innovative, secure and scalable technology solutions.

 

This is an opportunity to do more than simply manage systems. You will help shape how technology solutions are designed and delivered, develop technical capability and play an important role in the organisation's digital transformation journey.

What will you be doing?

• Lead the design, development, testing, deployment and support of IT solutions.
• Identify and implement emerging technologies and automation opportunities.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams and coordinate delivery across technology functions.
• Drive Agile, DevOps and continuous improvement practices.
• Build, mentor and develop technical teams.
• Manage application development vendors and technology partners.
• Monitor delivery performance, quality, milestones and productivity.
• Identify and manage technical, operational, cybersecurity and project risks.
• Support the organisation's broader digital transformation strategy.

 

What do you need?

• A relevant Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Engineering or a related field.
• 8–10+ years' substantial experience in solutions engineering, software development or solution development.
• Strong leadership and stakeholder engagement ability.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.

 

Additional qualifications or certifications in TOGAF/Enterprise Architecture, ITIL, Agile/Scrum, Project Management, Microsoft or Oracle technologies would be advantageous.
