Summary:
Responsible for identifying and delivering improvements in the efficiency and effectiveness of Logistics and Transport Management, working closely with the cluster Logistics Operations Leads and the Regional Transportation team, and other stakeholders in Supply Chain organization. This role is flexible to be located in MY or PH subject to the shortlisted candidate.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
To lead major cost saving / service improvement projects relating to warehousing and transportation.
To use Lean principles and tools to systematically eliminate waste in the warehousing processes.
To support the analysis and benchmarking of 3rd party related costs and service across the Logistics & Transportation team including use of Cost to Serve methodology.
Conduct network optimization studies in the region, working with either internal or external SCJ partners.
To provide analytical input for the tendering or re-tendering of 3rd party services as required and project manage the RFP process for major LSP tenders.
Evaluate new tools / software in accordance with digitization agenda of the company.
To be the Process Owner for the Logistics SOPs used within the process framework, and to act as an auditor in an audit program across all clusters to ensure process compliance and to share best practice between countries and identify improvement opportunities.
To support the Regional Operations Manager in the KPI management and review across the team and challenge performance against KPI's and provide Close The Loop for any off track KPI.
To all logistics hub operations are operated in full compliance to all relevant SCJ and country legal standards regarding health and safety, environmental, dangerous goods management, transport, GEN24 and import / export regulations.
To be partner with Customer Supply Chain to ensure the business priorities are delivered in Logistics Operations.
Lead any Warehouse or Transportation transition projects using SCJ transition framework.
Develop the team capability in Logistics especially in the analytical thinking and project management.
People Management & Development:
Managed subordinate activities to be flexible and supportive to the whole department goal.
Provide good motivation and coaching subordinate to ensure effective, efficient, and accurate work process.
Improve the people capability by launching the training & lean program.
Identify talent and help them to improve their skill or performance, also develop the candidate for higher position.
Required Skills / Experience / Competencies:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics management, Data science field
Minimum 5 years of experience in Lean / Continuous Improvement within Logistics or Supply Chain Operations. Experienced in FMCG industry is preferred
At least 3 years of experience in a people management or team leadership role.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power Apps, and Power BI.
Hands-on experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), preferably SAP HANA.
Demonstrated experience utilizing AI tools and technologies for supply chain analytics, process optimization, simulation, forecasting, or operational modelling.
Professional certifications related to Lean, Continuous Improvement, Supply Chain Management, Data Analytics, or Project Management (e.g., Lean Six Sigma, APICS/CPIM, PMP, Microsoft Power Platform certifications) will be an added advantage.
