Business Analyst – 12-Month Contract | Cape Town

Are you an experienced Business Analyst with strong Asset Management and Systems Analysis experience? We are looking for a skilled BA to join a dynamic team in Cape Town and play a key role in analysing business requirements, improving systems and delivering technology-driven business solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage with stakeholders to understand, analyse and document business requirements.
• Perform detailed business and systems analysis across asset management processes and systems.
• Conduct As-Is and To-Be analysis, process mapping and gap analysis.
• Translate business requirements into clear and detailed functional and system specifications.
• Analyse existing systems, workflows, interfaces and data flows to identify gaps and improvement opportunities.
• Work closely with developers, technical teams and solution architects to ensure requirements are clearly understood and delivered.
• Facilitate requirements workshops and stakeholder sessions.
• Identify system impacts, dependencies, risks and opportunities associated with proposed changes.
• Develop business requirements, functional specifications, process flows and supporting documentation.
• Support solution design and system enhancements from requirements through to implementation.
• Participate in testing activities, including test case reviews, defect analysis and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Support the implementation of new functionality and enhancements within asset management environments.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Business Analyst within Asset Management.
• Strong Systems Analysis experience.
• Experience with complex enterprise systems and business processes.
• Strong requirements gathering, analysis and documentation skills.
• Proven experience with process mapping, gap analysis and As-Is / To-Be analysis.
• Ability to translate business requirements into detailed functional and system requirements.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and workshop facilitation skills.
• Experience working closely with technical teams, developers and solution architects.
• Experience with system integration, interfaces and data flows will be advantageous.
• Financial Services, Investment Management or Asset Management experience is highly preferred.
• Agile/Scrum experience will be advantageous.
• SQL and data analysis skills would be beneficial.
