Overview
As a Mass Spectrometry Applications Specialist in the Waters Brazil, you will get the opportunity to work on a variety of internal and external customer projects. These projects will cover a broad range of applications with a focus on small and large molecule analysis using Waters mass spectrometry products.Territory will cover Brazil.
Responsibilities
- Develop analytical methods in an efficient manner for the analysis of customer sample sets using Waters equipment.
- Perform a customer instrument demonstration request in a pre-sales activity.
- Present results of analyses on customer samples to customers either in live demonstrations, in webinars/webcasts or in written reports.
- Provide LC-MS/MS technical sales support to customers.
- Assist the Waters sales force by being a technical resource on Waters mass spectrometry products.
- Execution of application/instrument training activities in a post-sales activity to the customer in a timely manner while focusing on customer satisfaction.
- Clear communication with the commercial team to ensure proper organization of a customer demonstration
- Convert demonstration or collaboration data into application notes or peer reviewed articles in collaboration with customers
- Close collaboration with other support specialists
Qualifications
- A degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry or similar. Masters or PhD strongly preferred
- Instrumentation: Good understanding of the principles of mass spectrometry. In depth knowledge of triple/tandem quadrupole mass spectrometers or ToF mass spectrometers (both desirable).
- Demonstrated experience (minimum of 3 years) of analytical method development.
- Good presentation skills for oral presentations to customers with a track record of presentations.
- Good writing skills for preparation of reports on sample analyses.
