Description
As a Senior Reporting Specialist, you will work closely with a variety of stakeholders across the organization, including finance directors and cross-functional teams. By providing accurate and timely financial reporting, you will play a critical role in influencing key decision-making processes and contributing to the overall success of the business. This position offers a unique opportunity to collaborate across borders, drive continuous improvement, and have a direct impact on GSK’s strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities
Support the successful execution of the SAP S/4HANA Dual Run, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting across both legacy and S/4 environments.
Perform detailed comparison and reconciliation of financial results between existing and S/4 systems, investigating and resolving discrepancies.
Partner closely with global S/4 programme teams, Market Finance teams and the Close & Control Hub to support deployment activities and issue resolution.
Validate end-to-end finance processes, reporting outputs, master data, and controls to ensure operational readiness for go-live.
Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), defect management, and process validation activities during various deployment phases.
Monitor and assess the impact of system and process changes on financial reporting, controls, and compliance requirements.
Ensure IFRS-compliant reporting and maintenance of effective internal controls throughout the transformation period.
Support the design and implementation of new reporting processes, controls, and governance frameworks in the S/4 environment.
Develop reporting, reconciliation, and monitoring tools to support dual-run activities and drive deployment readiness.
Act as a subject matter expert for Close & Control processes during the transition, providing guidance to stakeholders across markets and project teams.
Support cutover, hypercare and post-go-live stabilization activities to ensure a smooth transition into the new operating model.
Identify opportunities to simplify, standardize, automate, and optimize finance processes enabled by S/4HANA capabilities.
Qualifications and Experience
Degree or professional qualification in accounting (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent), or equivalent work experience.
5 to 9 years' experience in financial reporting or audit
Strong knowledge of MS Excel
Communicative written and spoken English
Ability to work effectively in multicultural teams
Preferred: Experience with SAP
