Description
We are partnering with a growing, multi-location building materials and design organization to identify a Territory Manager responsible for leading the performance of multiple locations throughout Florida. This is a hybrid, field-based leadership role supporting locations in Orlando, Fort Myers, West Palm Beach, Naples, and surrounding markets, with frequent travel throughout the assigned territory.
The Territory Manager serves as the senior business leader for the region, driving sales growth, operational excellence, financial performance, and leadership development across multiple locations. This highly visible position works closely with executive leadership while coaching store teams, developing future leaders, and ensuring every location delivers an exceptional customer experience and sustainable profitability.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead the overall performance, profitability, and operational success of multiple store locations throughout the assigned territory
• Own territory P&L performance, including revenue, gross margin, operating expenses, inventory, freight, and operating profit
• Develop and execute growth strategies appropriate for both established and emerging markets
• Recruit, coach, mentor, and develop store leadership and sales teams while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
• Build and strengthen the sales organization through pipeline management, prospecting expectations, key account development, and sales coaching
• Support new location development, including recruiting, market planning, training, and successful store launches
• Ensure consistent execution of company operating procedures, inventory controls, pricing standards, and customer service expectations
• Partner with Operations, Customer Service, Purchasing, Accounting, IT, and executive leadership to improve operational efficiency and customer satisfaction
• Participate in strategic customer meetings, pricing decisions, and major account development initiatives
• Maintain appropriate staffing, facility standards, showroom presentation, warehouse operations, and inventory accuracy throughout the territory
• Provide regular business updates, performance reporting, and strategic recommendations to executive leadership
Ideal Background
• Demonstrated success leading multiple locations, business units, or regional operations with full accountability for business performance
• Strong background in B2B sales leadership, business development, coaching, and key account management
• Experience managing P&L performance, operating budgets, KPIs, pricing strategy, gross margin, and cost controls
• Proven ability to translate strategic objectives into measurable execution across multiple teams and locations
• Strong leadership, communication, organizational, conflict resolution, and decision-making skills
• Experience utilizing CRM platforms, financial reporting, and operational analytics to drive business decisions
• Willingness to travel frequently throughout the assigned Florida territory
• Experience within flooring, building materials, construction distribution, contractor sales, homebuilding, design, or multi-location retail environments preferred
