Title: Supplier Quality Engineer - Ramos

## Main Responsibilites:
- Works on large-scale supplier quality improvement projects by leading, facilitating or participating.
- Leads internal and external cross functional teams to find innovative solutions to current business problems.
- Acts as a liaison between Strategic Supplier Quality and JDPS Engine Manufacturing Facilities to gain process alignment.
- Incoming Inspection, Controlled Shipping, Deviations, and documentation of nonconformances.
- Provide quality planning, control, and improvement support for product development teams, manufacturing teams, supply management, manufacturing, and distribution organizations to ensure John Deere product quality meets the customer’s expectations.
- Apply quality tools within the Enterprise Product Delivery Process (EPDP).
- Work with suppliers to investigate product quality problems, determine root cause, analyze data and ensure implementation of corrective actions to reduce waste resulting from non-conformance, scrap or reclaim.
- Work with suppliers to develop preventive actions to ensure quality expectations are met.
- Lead consistent assessment of supplier’s quality systems.
- Conduct audits of potential new suppliers and their quality systems.
## What Skills You Need:
- Knowledge of advanced data gathering and analysis techniques, including statistical analysis.
- Experience in using 8D methodology and problem solving.
- Experience in using quality tools (e.g. FMEA, Root Cause Analysis and Statistics);
- Experience in project management, and supplier improvement projects.
- Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills and the ability to influence without authority.
- Demonstrated ability to work in cross functional teams.
- Experience with drawing and schematic interpretation, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing and inspection methods.
- Ability to work independently, to stay on top of current business conditions, to prioritize projects, multi-task, and meet deadlines.
- Experience with standard quality tools such as FMEA (Failure Modes Effect Analysis), SPC (Statistical Process Control), Root Cause Analysis, Statistics.
- Experience with electrical and hydraulics commodities.
## What Makes You Stand Out:
- 3 or more years of experience using quality management principles, tools and processes.
- Cross-functional work experience in major areas such as: product engineering, supply management, quality, or manufacturing operations.
- Experience utilizing standard quality tools (such as DPARs, PPAPs, Control Plans, Pareto analysis, Gage Repeatability and Reproducibility (GR&R)).
- Experience in technical cleanliness practices.
- Knowledge of International Standards Organization (ISO) requirements ISO9001/QS9000/TS16949 Education (or equivalent work experience JDSG-223).
- Experience with electrical and hydraulics commodities.
## Education:
- Bachelor's degree in an Engineering/Technology discipline
