Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Behavioral Health Administrative Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring patients and their families feel supported and informed throughout their clinic experience. You will collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team to facilitate the delivery of impactful and comprehensive treatment plans for our patients.Every day you will cultivate trust through dedicated advocacy, unwavering support, and comprehensive education for your patients and their families. Essentional job functions:
- Prepare, review, and submit Legal 2000 (emergency admission) paperwork in accordance with Nevada law
- Ensure all documentation meets statutory requirements and strict court timelines
- File petitions for involuntary court-ordered admissions and coordinate with the appropriate court jurisdiction\
- Track deadlines for: 72-hour evaluation periods; Court hearings; Status changes (release, conversion to voluntary, or extended hold)
- Act as liaison between: Physicians and clinical staff; Court personnel and clerks; Public defenders, district attorneys, and legal representatives
- Provide administrative support.
- Assist leadership with reports related to mental health holds and legal outcomes
- Support onboarding and training documentation for staff related to L2K processes including answering phones, managing emails, and scheduling
Job Requirements
Minimum
- High School Graduate or High School GED
- Knowledge of court filing procedures and legal documentation
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple urgent deadlines
- Exceptional attention to detail (legal accuracy is critical)
- Understanding of medical and legal terminology.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Strong communication and coordination skills
- High level of discretion and confidentiality
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with time-sensitive legal deadlines
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR) and legal tracking systems.
- Knowledge of Clark County court processes (if you’re in the Las Vegas area)
Preferred
- Experience in healthcare, behavioral health, legal or court systems strongly preferred
- Familiarity with Nevada Legal 2000 (L2K) process highly desirable
- Associates or Bachelors degree
