Position Summary

We are seeking motivated, detail-oriented, and hospitality-driven Server Assistants to join our Front of House team.

The Server Assistant plays a vital role in delivering a seamless fine-dining experience by supporting servers, maintaining impeccable table presentation, and anticipating guest needs.

The ideal candidate is energetic, organized, a team player, and passionate about hospitality, with a strong desire to learn and grow within a high-end restaurant environment.

Key Responsibilities

Guest Experience & Service

• Assist servers in providing attentive, polished, and personalized service.

• Welcome and acknowledge guests with warmth and professionalism.

• Anticipate guest needs and respond promptly to requests.

• Maintain proper water service throughout the dining experience.

• Assist with bread service and other table-side service elements as directed.

• Support the team in delivering a smooth and memorable dining experience.

Table Maintenance & Dining Room Standards

• Set and reset tables according to MIKA's fine-dining standards.

• Clear and mark tables between courses with precision and discretion.

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of tables, chairs, service stations, and dining areas.

• Ensure silverware, glassware, china, and linens are properly polished and presented.

• Assist in preparing the dining room before service and restoring it after service.

• Maintain an immaculate dining room throughout each shift.

Teamwork & Service Support

• Work closely with servers, food runners, bartenders, and management to ensure efficient service.

• Communicate guest requests and service needs promptly.

• Assist with food delivery and clearing when necessary.

• Replenish service stations and maintain proper inventory levels.

• Support private dining events and special functions as needed.

• Follow all opening, closing, and side-work procedures.

Professionalism & MIKA Standards

• Demonstrate a positive attitude, teamwork, and a genuine passion for hospitality.

• Maintain excellent grooming, uniform, and personal presentation standards.

• Move through the dining room with confidence, awareness, and composure.

• Handle all restaurant equipment and serviceware with care.

• Follow food safety, sanitation, and allergy awareness procedures.

• Participate in ongoing training, menu education, and service development.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Previous experience in an upscale or fine-dining restaurant preferred.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Professional appearance and positive attitude.

• Ability to multitask and anticipate service needs.

• Willingness to learn MIKA's food, beverage, and hospitality standards.

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and safely lift up to 30 pounds.

• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
