Key Responsibilities

• Full accounting support for several entities
• Preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with HGB (German GAAP)
• Performing account reconciliations and analysis of variances
• Supporting the year-end audit and acting as a contact for auditors
• Liaising with the tax advisor on tax matters
• Preparation of VAT returns
• Fixed asset accounting
• Preparation and posting of customer invoices and intercompany transactions, posting of supplier invoices
• Processing and review of credit card statements
• Support with travel expense accounting
• Managing payment runs and bank postings
• Participation in the implementation of tools and automation solutions
• Handling of special tasks and participation in projects

Basic Qualification

• Commercial training with further qualification as a certified accountant (Bilanzbuchhalter) or a degree with a focus on accounting
• Several years of relevant professional experience in financial accounting / financial statement preparation
• Sound knowledge of HGB, IFRS is an advantage
• Solid knowledge in the areas of VAT and income taxes
• Strong IT and process affinity
• Experience with ERP systems
• Proficiency in MS Office is required
• Enjoyment in shaping processes and taking responsibility
• Structured, independent and team-oriented working style
• Very good German and English language skills
