Job Description:

The Provost reports to the President and serves as Dunwoody College of Technology's chief academic & student affairs officer. They provide the vision and executive leadership for the College's educational enterprise, ensuring alignment among academic programs, student support, workforce needs, institutional strategy, and Dunwoody's mission.

The Provost leads a division with an annual operating budget exceeding $25 million and supervises the academic deans and leaders responsible for student affairs, student success, advising, library services, career services, institutional

effectiveness, assessment, and other assigned functions. This role partners with the President and fellow Leadership Team members to execute the College's strategic plan while fostering a culture of academic excellence, innovation, continuous improvement, exceptional student outcomes, financial stewardship, and accountability.

ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE & INNOVATION

  • Provide vision and executive leadership for the College's academic enterprise and for Academic Affairs and Student Affairs.

  • Ensure academic excellence through curriculum review, assessment, accreditation, program review, and continuous

  • improvement.

  • Provide leadership for faculty excellence, including faculty development, instructional quality, academic leadership,

  • innovation in teaching and learning, and a culture of continuous improvement.

  • Lead strategic management of the College's academic portfolio, including the development, expansion, redesign,

  • consolidation, and, when appropriate, discontinuation of programs based on student demand, workforce need, academic

  • quality, and financial sustainability.

  • Advance innovation in teaching, learning, and program delivery, including the thoughtful application of emerging

  • technologies, artificial intelligence, online and hybrid learning, and new approaches to workforce education.

STUDENT SUCCESS & EXPERIENCE

  • Oversee student success, advising, career services, library services, Title IX, accessibility, and other assigned student

  • support functions.

  • Develop and execute strategies that improve student learning, persistence, retention, completion, career placement, and the

  • overall student experience.

  • Use institutional data, key performance indicators, and dashboards to identify opportunities, evaluate outcomes, and drive

  • continuous improvement.

PEOPLE & LEADERSHIP

  • Supervise, develop, and manage outcomes of academic deans and senior student affairs leaders while building a

  • high-performing, collaborative academic leadership team.

  • Carry out supervisory responsibilities including hiring, coaching, performance management, leadership development, and

  • succession planning.

  • Foster a culture consistent with Dunwoody's values of Curiosity, Collaboration, Inclusion, and Inspiration.

STRATEGY, OPERATIONS & FINANCIAL STEWARDSHIP

  • Lead implementation of institutional strategic priorities within Academic & Student Affairs and contribute as a member of the

  • College Leadership Team to institution-wide strategy and decision-making.

  • Lead annual planning, budgeting, staffing, and resource allocation across the division.

  • Ensure the long-term financial sustainability of the academic enterprise through disciplined resource allocation, enrollment

  • analysis, program economics, staffing strategies, and productivity improvement.

  • Ensure compliance with Higher Learning Commission standards and applicable federal and state regulations.

INDUSTRY, COMMUNITY & EXTERNAL PARTNERSHIPS

  • Ensure academic programs maintain deep and meaningful connections with industry, using employer relationships and labor-market intelligence to inform curriculum, equipment, faculty development, work-based learning, and new program development.

  • Develop new academic programs and workforce partnerships aligned with employer demand and emerging workforce needs.

  • Represent Dunwoody College with accrediting agencies, employers, community partners, governmental organizations, and educational institutions.

  • Support fundraising, grants, enrollment growth, and strategic partnerships in collaboration with Advancement and Enrollment Management.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master’s Degree

  • Progressively responsible higher education leadership experience, including demonstrated success leading complex academic and student affairs functions.

  • Deep knowledge of accreditation, assessment, budgeting, program review, faculty development, strategic planning, and contemporary approaches to teaching and learning.

  • Demonstrated success leading organizational change and developing high-performing leadership teams. Demonstrated success building employer, industry, community, and educational partnerships.

  • Experience using data, labor-market intelligence, and financial analysis to inform academic and operational decisions.

  • Demonstrated ability to support fundraising, grants, and external partnerships in collaboration with institutional colleagues.
