The Role
The Sr. Supply Chain Consultant creates complex supply chain solutions in a fast-paced environment, leading projects and mentoring junior staff along the way.This position works closely with, and reports to, a manager. The role routinely engages with client stakeholders to define project scope, goals, requirements, and deliverables — which means a high level of face-to-face interaction with clients and senior leadership teams.
Beyond project delivery, this position is responsible for leading projects as well as supervising and mentoring junior staff working on those projects.
What You'll Own
Primary duties will vary based on project scope and your specific role on the team, but the work centers on Bricz's four core areas of service: Analysis, Implementation, Optimization, and Warehouse Robotics.Analysis
- Communicate with clients to understand business requirements and perform network analysis.
- Provide data-based recommendations on large-scale, strategic supply chain initiatives.
- Utilize industry expertise to assist clients in selecting the right supply chain software.
- Lead software implementation from initial project conception through final installation.
- Configure supply chain software to meet unique client requirements and business needs.
- Perform end-to-end system testing to validate system configuration.
- Provide daily system support by performing root cause analysis for system issues.
- Establish effective training and documentation to transition knowledge to the client's team.
- Actively identify opportunities for continuous improvement within a supply chain.
- Configure supply chain systems to work in tandem with operations to ensure peak efficiency.
- Streamline operations by collaborating with cross-functional teams that can include anyone from warehouse workers to IT to top executives.
- Provide analytics on the potential robotics investment.
- Identify a robotics solution that solves clients' fulfillment problems.
- Seamlessly integrate robotics solutions into the existing operations and software landscape.
- Provide program management in implementing robotics at a new or existing warehouse.
What You Bring
Required- Bachelor's degree and 2–6 years of relevant experience.
- Flexibility to travel up to 50%.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong entrepreneurial spirit and a willingness to lead internal activities to stimulate company growth.
- Ability and drive to conceptualize, develop, and present new ideas and solutions.
- Experience in project management, including project planning, prioritizing objectives, and status reporting.
- Advanced knowledge of supply chain concepts with a primary focus on distribution applications.
- Ability and willingness to learn and adapt to multiple supply chain technologies.
- Hands-on working knowledge and advanced understanding of one or more of the following supply chain technologies:
- Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) — Manhattan WMOS, HighJump/Körber/Infios WA, etc.
- Order Management Systems (OMS)
- Labor Management Systems (LMS)
- Transportation Management Systems (TMS)
- Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Systems
- Supply Chain Business Intelligence Tools
- Experience using SQL as a troubleshooting and reporting aid.
- Experience championing functional testing to ensure quality solutions.
- Experience troubleshooting complex software solutions.
- Ability to identify operational efficiency opportunities.
- Experience integrating one or more supply chain systems.
