YourCode Recruitment is working with a long-established, privately owned automotive retail group to recruit an IT Support & Infrastructure Technician for its multi-site operation across Kent and South East London.

This is a varied, hands-on IT position ideally suited to an experienced IT Support Engineer, 2nd Line Support Engineer, IT Technician or Infrastructure Support Engineer who enjoys solving problems, working directly with users and getting out to different sites.
Rather than being restricted to a traditional service desk, you'll have exposure to hardware, Microsoft 365, Active Directory / Entra ID, networking, Wi-Fi, infrastructure, security, dealership systems and third-party suppliers.
The Role
You'll become the main internal point of contact for day-to-day IT issues across the business, providing practical first and second-line support.
Your responsibilities will include:
-
Providing hands-on 1st and 2nd Line IT Support across multiple locations
-
Diagnosing hardware, software, login, printing and connectivity issues
-
Installing, configuring and maintaining PCs, laptops, monitors, printers and mobile devices
-
Setting up new starters with hardware, email accounts, access and permissions
-
Managing password resets, access changes, leavers and user administration
-
Supporting Microsoft 365, Outlook, Teams and OneDrive
-
Managing routine Active Directory / Entra ID administration
-
Troubleshooting networks, Wi-Fi, internet connectivity, switches, routers and VPNs
-
Supporting company telephony and communications equipment
-
Carrying out routine endpoint security, patching, software update and backup checks
-
Responding to business-critical IT incidents
-
Escalating more complex issues to external IT, software and hardware suppliers
-
Maintaining IT asset and software licence registers
-
Supporting IT installations during office moves, refurbishments and new site openings
-
Providing straightforward IT guidance and training to users
-
Travelling between sites to provide hands-on support, installations and maintenance
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone with solid practical IT support experience who is comfortable taking ownership of issues and seeing them through to resolution.
You'll ideally have:
-
Previous experience in IT Support, Desktop Support, 2nd Line Support, IT Technician or a similar position
-
Strong Windows PC and laptop support experience
-
Microsoft 365 / Office 365 support experience
-
Outlook, Teams and OneDrive knowledge
-
Active Directory and/or Entra ID administration experience
-
Good understanding of user accounts, permissions and access management
-
Practical networking knowledge covering Wi-Fi, connectivity and troubleshooting
-
Experience supporting printers and other business hardware
-
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
-
Confidence supporting non-technical users
-
Ability to work independently and prioritise urgent issues
-
Full UK driving licence
Desirable Experience
Any experience with the following would be useful, although isn't essential:
-
Keyloop, Autoline, Drive or another Dealer Management System
-
Automotive retail or motor dealership IT
-
Multi-site IT support
-
Windows Server
-
Business telephony
-
Endpoint security and patching
-
Backup monitoring
Previous automotive experience is not essential.
We're equally interested in experienced IT Support Engineers and Technicians from other multi-site businesses who are comfortable travelling between locations and learning new systems.

-
£35,000–£45,000 salary depending on experience
-
Company car
