Director of Business Development
What you'll do
- Develop and execute business development strategies that support growth and revenue objectives.
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified opportunities across government, defense, space, and commercial sectors.
- Identify and qualify new business opportunities and emerging market applications.
- Establish trusted relationships with government agencies, prime contractors, commercial organizations, and international customers.
- Lead strategic capture activities for key pursuits and develop winning growth strategies.
- Support proposal development and decision-making related to opportunity investments.
- Create and strengthen industry partnerships, teaming agreements, and market expansion initiatives.
- Monitor customer priorities, acquisition plans, technology trends, and competitive activity.
- Collaborate with technical and executive teams to align customer needs with business solutions.
- Translate market intelligence into actionable growth opportunities.
What you need
- Strong relationship-building, communication, negotiation, and presentation skills – required
- Experience in strategic business development and capture management experience (10+ years) – required
- Experience in aerospace, defense, space, imaging, or related technology markets – required
- Demonstrated success winning and growing business opportunities – required
- Knowledge of government acquisition processes and major aerospace/defense contractors – required
- Ability to engage both technical and executive stakeholders – required
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, Business, or a related field – required
- Advanced degree and existing relationships within defense, intelligence, space, or government organizations – preferred

Salary Range:
$150,400.00-$200,500.000The anticipated salary range listed for this role is only an estimate. Actual compensation for successful candidates is carefully determined based on several factors including, but not limited to, location, local regulations (such as minimum wage), education/training, work experience, key skills, and type of position.
