Your Impact
As a Tax Senior Accountant at Hungerford, you'll play a key role in delivering tax compliance, planning, and advisory services to a diverse client base. You'll work closely with clients and team members to develop solutions, identify opportunities, and provide exceptional service. This position offers the opportunity to deepen your technical expertise, mentor emerging professionals, and contribute to the firm's continued growth and innovation.
How You Will Add Value
- Prepare and review individual, partnership, trust, corporation, and S corporation tax returns.
- Assist with tax planning, projections, and strategic tax initiatives for clients.
- Evaluate tax notices and correspondence and assist with drafting responses to taxing authorities.
- Support compliance engagements, including partnership filings and other specialized projects.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through responsive communication and trusted advice.
- Mentor, train, and support staff accountants and interns.
- Contribute to departmental process improvements, strategic initiatives, and firmwide goals.
- Leverage technology and innovative solutions to improve efficiency and client service.
- Participate in business development, networking, and community involvement activities.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field.
- 2+ years of public accounting tax experience
- CPA license or active pursuit of CPA certification preferred.
- Strong understanding of federal and state tax concepts and general accounting principles (GAAP).
- Excellent organizational, time management, and project management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a client-service mindset.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
- Adaptability to serve clients across a variety of industries and business structures.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and tax software solutions.
- Enthusiasm for learning new technologies and improving processes.
