As a Senior Tax Accountant at ICON, you will manage complex tax compliance, reporting, and plan activities across multiple jurisdictions. You will help ensure ICON meets its tax obligations while optimising tax efficiency and manage risk.
What You Will Do:
Your experience in tax and treasury will be key in delivering high-quality outcomes and mentoring colleagues.
Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing and reviewing corporate tax returns, provisions, and related filings for assigned entities in accordance with local laws and regulations.
- Supporting quarterly and annual tax reporting, including tax account reconciliations and effective tax rate analyses.
- Assisting with tax planning initiatives, transfer pricing support, and evaluation of the tax impact of business transactions.
- Liaising with external advisors and tax authorities, supporting audits and responding to tax queries.
- Monitoring changes in tax legislation and assessing potential impacts on ICON's tax position.
- Contributing to the enhancement of tax processes, controls, and documentation to improve efficiency and compliance.
Your Profile:
You will have a strong foundation in tax and treasury, with the experience to work independently and guide others.
Required qualifications and experience:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; professional qualification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CTA) preferred.
- Significant experience in corporate tax, ideally within a multinational organisation or professional services firm.
- Strong technical knowledge of corporate taxation and tax accounting standards.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with finance and business stakeholders.
- Organised and proactive, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
