About the role
The Finance & Business Operations Manager is responsible for leading Tennis Queensland's finance and business operations functions, ensuring effective financial management, operational systems, risk management and corporate services that support the delivery of the organisation's strategic objectives.
Working closely with the CEO and Executive Leadership Team, the role provides financial and operational advice, supports organisational decision-making through effective planning and reporting, and drives continuous improvement across finance, business operations and corporate services. This is a 12-month maximum term contract.
In this role you will:
- Lead Tennis Queensland's financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and reporting processes, providing strategic insights to the Executive Leadership Team and Board.
- Prepare monthly financial reporting, variance analysis and financial insights for the CEO, Executive Leadership Team and Board.
- Oversee purchase orders, invoicing, debtor management and financial administration processes.
- Oversee organisational financial performance, cash flow, systems, controls and compliance to support sustainable business outcomes.
- Drive business operations, including contract management, process improvement, operational systems and key organisational services.
- Lead enterprise risk, compliance and governance activities, ensuring effective frameworks, reporting and continuous improvement across the organisation.
- Partner with internal and external stakeholders to strengthen operational performance, support strategic decision-making and deliver organisational objectives.
About you
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Tertiary qualification in Business Management or related field (desirable)
- Demonstrated experience in financial management, business operations or corporate services
- Strong financial management, budgeting and reporting capability
- Experience managing operational improvement and organisational change initiatives
- Hold (or be willing to obtain) a current Police Check and Working with Children Check
- Preparedness to be flexible in regard to working hours and arrangements relating to work associated with Tennis QLD
