TEAM FORD LINCOLN is hiring a part-time Parts Delivery Driver for our Quick Lane location. Experience preferred; good driving record required.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Essential Duties include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Picks up and delivers parts and equipment to customers, satellite stores, wholesale accounts, and vendors.
- Checks with Parts Counter people or Shipping and Receiving Clerk before leaving to coordinate any last-minute pick-ups or deliveries.
- Assists Shipping & Receiving Clerk put away parts from incoming orders and returns.
- Participates in all training programs that are made available.
- Uses all appropriate security measures and procedures to safeguard company assets.
- Obtains signatures and purchase orders for charge accounts and cash or checks for cash accounts.
- Checks with the shop each day to determine immediate parts needs.
- Delivers parts to shop when needed and distributes to appropriate technicians.
- Verifies that invoice matches purchase order for each pick-up.
- Checks payments received with the invoices for each delivery.
- Keeps an accurate log of daily deliveries and pick-ups. Requests recipient's signature on each delivery entry.
- Unloads truck each night. Turns in all paperwork and undelivered parts.
- Handles basic maintenance of the truck including filling tank with gas, checking oil, keeping it clean, and making sure required inspections are performed.
- Advises parts manager if delivery trucks need major repairs and maintenance.
- Helps maintain the professional appearance of the parts department.
- Knows and understands the current federal, state, and local laws which govern the Parts Driver role. Also maintains current knowledge of Team Ford Lincoln dealership expectations.
- Maintains an accurate daily mileage log.
- Maintains high levels of customer service that are consistent with Team Ford Lincoln standards.
- Maintains professional appearance.
- Must be able to pass a background and drug test.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
- Valid Nevada Driver's License
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Must be able to safely and efficiently operate a vehicle. Will drive five to six hours during a shift.
- Must be able to communicate by telephone, two-way radio and in person in clear, fluent English in a courteous, friendly, and professional manner with guests, co-workers, and other persons.
- Frequently lifts, carries or otherwise moves and positions objects weighing up to 75lbs when picking up and delivering parts.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Indoor and outdoor work is required.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, but at times, it can get louder.
- Will be in and out of parts and service departments including other shops and therefore will be exposed to dust, noise, exhaust fumes and other hazardous and non-hazardous materials.
