Demand Planning Analyst (m/f/d)

Key responsibilities:

• Shape Demand Excellence – Own and continuously develop accurate short-, mid-, and long-term forecasts in SAP IBP, creating a reliable basis for decision-making
• Leverage Data & Analytics – Apply advanced statistical models and translate data into meaningful, forward-looking insights
• Incorporate Financial Awareness – Integrate cross-functional data with a solid understanding of revenue and financial implications to ensure demand plans support commercial and financial objectives
• Elevate Forecast Accuracy – Monitor key KPIs, identify improvement levers, and proactively implement measures to optimize forecast quality
• Integrate Business Perspective – Combine data-driven insights with commercial inputs such as promotions and market trends to create realistic demand plans
• Own IBP Planning Processes – Manage demand planning activities end-to-end, including master data, hierarchies, and scenario simulations
• Ensure Data Integrity – Safeguard consistency and reliability of planning data across systems
• Collaborate & Influence – Act as a strategic partner to Sales, Finance, Operations, and Supply Planning, aligning stakeholders through S&OP
• Drive Continuous Improvement – Develop impactful reporting and continuously enhance forecasting models, tools, and processes

We expect:

• Academic Background – Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Economics, Engineering, Analytics, or a related quantitative field
• Relevant Professional Experience – Solid experience in demand planning, forecasting, or a comparable analytical supply chain role, ideally in high-volume industries such as FMCG, retail, logistics, or pooling environments similar to IFCO’s asset-based business model
• SAP IBP Expertise – Strong hands-on knowledge of SAP IBP (Demand Planning), including statistical forecasting and scenario modelling
• Advanced Analytical Strength – Ability to work confidently with complex datasets and translate them into clear, actionable insights
• Forecasting Excellence – Deep understanding of forecasting methodologies such as time series analysis, seasonality, and causal models, as well as accuracy metrics like MAPE and bias
• Data & Reporting Skills – Advanced Excel capabilities and experience with tools such as Power BI to turn data into meaningful business recommendations
• Stakeholder Engagement – Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams and confidently challenge assumptions using data
• Mindset & Languages – Structured, detail-oriented, and self-driven approach combined with fluency in English and German as an advantage
