Our Production Managers are responsible for delivering all of our content, whether that be at Sky Studios or at our numerous outside broadcasts in the UK & worldwide. First class planning & organisation, great communication amongst wide ranging stakeholders, financial accuracy, safe & efficient working practice and a will to constantly innovate are all key”
Head of Production, Sky Sports
What you'll do:
Manage the production process for events and content, coordinating people, planning, facilities, suppliers and operational activity to ensure successful delivery.
Produce and maintain production plans and reports, ensuring stakeholders have the information required for safe and efficient delivery.
Manage production budgets, identifying risks, efficiencies and opportunities to maximise value while maintaining delivery standards.
Act as the main point of contact for suppliers and internal technical teams, coordinating operational and technical requirements from planning through delivery.
Understand and apply health and safety requirements, ensuring appropriate risk assessments, documentation and controls are in place.
Liaise with stadiums, venues and site owners to secure production requirements and support successful broadcast delivery.
Build and maintain effective relationships with governing bodies, rights holders, clubs, venues and external partners.
Communicate project status, timelines and key updates clearly to internal and external stakeholders throughout the production lifecycle.
What you'll bring:
Essential criteria:
Strong outside broadcast production and venue management experience, with the ability to plan and deliver complex live or recorded productions.
Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across internal teams, suppliers, venues and external partners.
Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, work under pressure and make sound decisions in a live production environment.
Good financial and commercial awareness, including budget management and cost control.
Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify risks, find practical solutions and respond effectively to operational challenges.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly communicate plans, updates and key information to a range of stakeholders.
Understanding of production health & safety requirements, including risk assessments and safe working practices within live broadcast environments.
Desirable skills and experience:
Knowledge of modern broadcast workflows, production technologies and facilities.
Experience handling challenging stakeholder conversations and resolving issues professionally.
A proactive and continuous improvement mindset, with a focus on driving efficiencies and maintaining high standards.

How you’ll work:
We've adopted a hybrid working approach to give more flexibility on where and how we work. For this role, you'll need to be happy to travel regularly and work weekends as required to support live sporting events and production schedules, and a full UK driving licence is essential. The hybrid working expectation is 3 days per week in our Osterley office. As this role is closely linked to live football matches and other sporting events, flexibility around working hours, including evenings and weekends, is important, and you'll spend time both in the office and on location, working closely with production teams, stakeholders and external partners to deliver high-quality sporting content.
