Your mission
Bright Capital is looking to hire an Investment Analyst (f/m/d) for its Frankfurt office to strengthen its private debt investment team, focusing on the European lower mid-market. In this role, you will support the investment and portfolio teams across the entire investment lifecycle, from opportunity screening and underwriting to portfolio monitoring and investor reporting. Working closely with experienced investment professionals, you will gain broad exposure to transaction execution, due diligence, financial analysis, and portfolio management while progressively taking on greater responsibility.
Key responsibilities include:
- Investment Screening & Market Research: Support the identification and evaluation of private debt investment opportunities across the DACH region and broader Western European markets, including the Benelux, Nordics and UK
- Financial Analysis & Modelling: Build and maintain financial models, perform financial, valuation and credit analyses, and support the assessment of prospective investment opportunities
- Due Diligence Support: Assist in the coordination and review of financial, commercial, legal and tax due diligence workstreams
- Investment Committee & Deal Execution: Prepare financial analyses, investment memoranda and supporting materials for internal approval processes
- Portfolio Monitoring: Support the monitoring of portfolio company performance, analyse financial and operational developments, and contribute to ongoing credit assessments and reporting
Your profile
We are looking for an individual with excellent technical and modelling competencies, an entrepreneurial attitude, and great German market knowledge as well as language skills to join our investment team.
Key skills and experience include:
- Previous experience across leveraged finance, debt advisory, private equity or investment banking and similar
- Recent graduate (Bachelor’s or Master’s degree) of Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Business Engineering/Mathematics/Informatics, or similar at a top-tier university
- Advanced corporate finance technical skill set
- Solid financial modelling skills (including DCF and LBO)
- Strong commercial mindset and business acumen are essential
- Entrepreneurial and self-starting attitude to match our dynamic culture
- Strong communication skills and fluency in German and English
