Job Description Summary
Financial accuracy isn't just a compliance requirement — it's how smart decisions get made. As a Finance Manager in Operational Project Finance, you sit at the intersection of technical accounting and real project execution. You'll own the financial reporting and controllership of a portfolio of projects, keeping numbers honest and analysis sharp from contract kickoff through close-out.This is a role for someone who enjoys working close to the business — not just behind the ledger — and who finds genuine satisfaction in turning complex financial data into clear, actionable insight.
Job Description
What You'll Do
Manage project controllership and financial reporting in line with internal control guidelines, ensuring accounting accuracy across the full contract lifecycle
Define project milestones and coordinate with accounting teams on revenue recognition in accordance with company policy
Lead structured project reviews from contract initiation through completion, maintaining consistency and alignment with project teams
Analyze execution performance — tracking contract margin and cash profiles — and develop action plans to address risks and improve financial outcomes
Provide informal guidance and knowledge-sharing to newer team members, translating complex financial information into straightforward terms for cross-functional colleagues
Collaborate with internal stakeholders across teams to support problem-solving and ensure sound financial decision-making
Who You Are
You are a finance professional with a strong foundation in project accounting and operational finance, equally comfortable navigating detailed financial data and communicating findings to non-finance audiences.
Required
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college
Proven experience in Finance and Project Control, with hands-on exposure to project accounting, revenue recognition, and financial reporting
Ability to apply technical finance knowledge within established functional practices and internal control frameworks
Strong analytical thinking — able to identify issues, structure solutions, and draw on multiple sources to support sound decisions
Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial matters to colleagues across functions
Preferred
Experience with project lifecycle management in an industrial or infrastructure environment
Demonstrated ability to document, plan, and execute financial improvement programs
Prior experience providing informal mentorship or guidance within a finance team
