The Tax Manager will independently lead and execute key aspects of the Company’s global income tax provision, tax compliance, tax controversy, and transfer pricing activities for a growing multinational company. This hands-on role is responsible for managing U.S. federal, state, U.S. international, and local country tax matters; coordinating global tax reporting and compliance; and serving as a primary point of contact for internal stakeholders, external advisors, and tax authorities.
The successful candidate is a proactive self-starter who can initiate projects, set priorities, identify issues, develop practical solutions, and deliver accurate, timely work with limited oversight. This position requires strong technical judgment, attention to detail, ownership of deadlines, and the ability to operate effectively across jurisdictions and functions.
Accounting for Income Taxes
- Manage the quarterly and annual global income tax provision process in accordance with U.S. GAAP ASC 740 including effective tax rate, current and deferred calculations, journal entries, account reconciliations, uncertain tax positions, return-to-provision adjustments, disclosures, and supporting workpapers.
- Coordinate with finance teams and local country controllers to collect, review, and validate provision data for foreign and domestic entities.
- Analyze significant transactions, legislative changes, audit developments, and entity-level results for provision and financial statement impacts.
- Maintain audit-ready documentation and support external auditor reviews, internal controls, and SOX requirements.
Tax Compliance
- Manage the preparation, coordination, and review of federal, state and international compliance including estimated payments, extensions, and related filings ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
- Manage U.S. international tax compliance and calculations, including GILTI/NCTI, FDII, foreign tax credits, Subpart F, expense allocation, earnings and profits, basis, and related information reporting including international forms, including Forms 5471, 8858, 8865, 1118.
- Coordinate with external service providers while retaining ownership of data quality, technical conclusions, review, and deadlines.
- Manage federal, state, and foreign income tax audits, including maintaining an audit and notice tracker, information requests, and tax authority notices from intake through resolution.
- Work closely with the Tax Accountant and other business functions to efficiently obtain required tax data and to simplify/automate tax reporting processes and procedures.
Transfer Pricing
- Manage the Company’s transfer pricing compliance process, including annual documentation, local files, master file support, intercompany agreements, and country-by-country reporting data, as applicable.
- Monitor intercompany transactions and results against established transfer pricing policies; identify variances and coordinate required true ups.
- Collaborate with finance, accounting, legal, treasury, and business teams to ensure intercompany arrangements are documented, consistently applied, and supported by appropriate data.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related field.
- At least 6 years of progressive corporate tax or public accounting experience, including substantial experience with multinational companies.
- Strong working knowledge of ASC 740 and experience preparing or reviewing quarterly and annual income tax provisions.
