Description
Who We Are
Who You Are
The Client Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management, delivery integrity, and working-level client relationship across assigned accounts. This role serves as the operational anchor for the client partnership, ensuring strategy is translated into action, plans are executed accurately, and internal and external teams operate with clarity and confidence.
Positioned between the Client Strategy Director and Client Coordinator, the Client Manager owns timelines, workflows, dependencies, and communication cadences. While this role does not set channel strategy or develop media plans, it plays a critical role in pressure-testing feasibility, surfacing risks, and ensuring delivery meets agreed-upon service levels and client expectations. Clients rely on the Client Manager to keep work moving smoothly, communicate proactively, and address potential issues before they escalate.
What You’ll Do
- Own day-to-day client management for assigned accounts, serving as the primary point of contact for working teams and select mid-level stakeholders.
- Manage deliverables across campaigns and initiatives, ensuring timelines, scopes, owners, and dependencies are clearly defined and commitments are met.
- Translate channel strategies and media plans into clear action steps for internal activation, analytics, creative, and other partner teams.
- Lead internal status meetings and maintain delivery trackers so all teams understand their responsibilities, deadlines, priorities, and expectations.
- Monitor campaign launches, pacing, and delivery milestones to ensure service levels and quality standards are consistently met.
- Proactively identify delivery risks, gaps, and areas of misalignment, escalating issues appropriately with proposed solutions.
- Partner closely with Client Strategy leaders to support planning cycles, quarterly business reviews, and ongoing client communications.
- Identify executional needs, expansion signals, and operational gaps that may create appropriate upsell or cross-sell opportunities.
- Maintain clear and timely client communications that summarize progress, decisions, next steps, risks, and key considerations.
- Hold internal partners accountable for agreed-upon deliverables while maintaining productive cross-functional relationships.
- Mentor Client Coordinators by providing guidance on workflows, client communication, prioritization, and quality standards.
- Contribute to the continued improvement of account workflows, delivery processes, documentation, and team practices.
What You Bring
- 4+ years of experience in client services, account management, campaign operations, project management, or a related role within an agency, media, advertising, or marketing environment.
- Demonstrated experience managing multiple campaigns, initiatives, or client workstreams with competing timelines and cross-functional dependencies.
- Strong client communication skills, including experience leading status conversations, communicating risks, clarifying next steps, and building confidence with working-level and mid-level stakeholders.
- Experience translating strategic direction or media plans into clear deliverables, owners, milestones, and action steps for internal teams.
- Proven ability to identify delivery risks early, solve problems pragmatically, and escalate issues with clear context and recommendations.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with a record of delivering accurate work against established scopes, deadlines, service levels, and quality standards.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with strategy, media activation, analytics, creative, and other specialized teams without direct authority.
- Strong attention to detail across client communications, campaign deliverables, timelines, documentation, and reporting.
- Sound account judgment, including the ability to recognize changing client needs, executional gaps, and opportunities to expand support.
- Experience guiding, mentoring, or informally developing junior team members is preferred.
- Working knowledge of digital media campaigns, campaign lifecycles, and common delivery or performance considerations is preferred.
