Senior Manager, Strategy & Operations

Why is this role important?

As a Senior Manager, Strategy & Operations, you will report to the Sr. Director, Strategy and Operations for Loblaw Digital. You will partner with business and cross- functional leadership teams at Loblaw Digital to develop strategic plans that identify opportunities, risks and metrics to measure outcomes.

 

What You’ll Do

Support ecommerce leadership teams to be more productive and successful by: 

• Leading or supporting cross-functional strategic projects by forming hypotheses, conducting research, facilitating discussion and development strategic outcomes 
• Facilitate the development of the annual strategic plan by working with business leadership teams and Loblaw enterprise functions
• Create executive presentation materials for internal & external meetings, including presentations to senior executives, enterprise forums, and company-wide communications 
• Providing internal and external insights to support business decisions (e.g., macro trends, competitive impacts, etc.)
• Developing and implementing process improvements, governance, operating rhythms, and cross-functional ways of working 
• Serve as a liaison between Business team and Technology and Product teams to ensure alignment between business strategy and technology roadmap 

 

Does this sound like you?

• More than 5 years of work experience in a relevant field with demonstrated cross-functional project leadership experience. This is a great opportunity for those with experience in management consulting, corporate strategy, chief of staff or similar roles at technology or digital commerce companies 
• A demonstrated record of taking ambiguous questions from initial hypothesis through analysis, recommendation, implementation and measurable outcome
• Excellent problem-solving skills and demonstrated analytical capabilities. A self-starter than can deep dive into data to identify and quantify risks and opportunities
• Thrive in a fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment 
• Experience influencing senior leaders, resolving disagreement, and managing cross-functional stakeholders without relying on formal authority 
• Exceptional written and verbal communication, with the ability to make complex issues clear and facilitate productive executive discussions
• Curiosity around consumer technologies that are influencing retail and e-commerce
