Job Description

Key Responsibilities

• Risk Analytics & Surveillance: Perform data analysis and monitoring across AML, Anti-Fraud, Conduct Risk, Cross-Border and other non-financial risk areas. Identify risk indicators, unusual patterns and potential control gaps through data-driven analysis.
• AI, LLM & Advanced Analytics: Develop, test and maintain analytical solutions using machine learning, NLP and Large Language Models (LLMs) for areas such as speech analytics, communication surveillance, case prioritisation and business intelligence. Support model validation, documentation and governance requirements.
• Data Management & Governance: Perform data sourcing, preparation, transformation and validation to support analytics and reporting. Conduct data quality checks and maintain appropriate documentation to ensure accuracy, consistency and traceability of analytical outputs.
• Reporting & Analysis: Prepare dashboards, recurring reports and thematic analyses covering business, risk and client trends. Analyse results, investigate exceptions and provide clear observations to support management and governance reporting.
• Projects & Process Improvement: Support analytics, AI, automation and process improvement initiatives. Perform data analysis, testing, documentation and implementation activities, and assist in embedding solutions into operational processes.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with analytics, business and technology colleagues on data, reporting and analytical deliverables. Share knowledge and contribute to improving analytical processes, tools and controls.

Job Requirements

• Experience: Minimum 2 - 3 years of relevant experience in data analytics, business intelligence, data science or related analytical roles. Experience within financial services, risk, compliance or wealth management would be advantageous.
• Business & Risk Knowledge: Some understanding of financial services products and business processes. Exposure to AML, Anti-Fraud, Conduct Risk, Cross-Border or other non-financial risk areas would be an advantage.
• Analytical & Technical Skills: Hands-on experience with LLM, Python, SQL, big data platforms, data analysis and data manipulation. Exposure to machine learning, NLP, generative AI would be advantageous but is not essential.
• Data & Reporting Skills: Experience in preparing, validating and analysing datasets, as well as developing dashboards and recurring reports. Able to investigate data issues and ensure accuracy of analytical outputs.
• Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Good analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify patterns, investigate exceptions and draw meaningful observations from data.
• Delivery: Able to work independently on assigned tasks, manage multiple deliverables and complete analysis within agreed timelines. Comfortable working in a hands-on and execution-focused environment.
• Stakeholder & Communication Skills: Good written and verbal communication skills. Able to work effectively with business, risk, compliance and technology stakeholders to understand requirements and communicate analytical findings clearly.
• Personal Attributes: Hands-on, detail-oriented, proactive and willing to learn. Strong sense of ownership and able to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Education: Degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Finance or a related discipline. Relevant certifications in analytics or data-related disciplines would be an advantage.
